Description: Paradosiakon, is one of the best taverns of Corfu and operates since the 30s, in the region Spilia in Palaia Poli. It is an authentic tavern with Corfiot delicacies and traditional recipes coming from grandmother drawer, following the traditional ways of preparation and using pure fresh ingredients carefully selected. It is recommended by the most well known, foreign tour guides (MARCO POLO, GUIDE DE ROUTARD, LET'S GO), while its location creates the ideal atmosphere for a meal on the island, as it is located in one of the most romantic and picturesque pedestrian streets in the region of Spilia. Our trademark is the fresh fish and the local meat on the grill. Each dish comes with special care and respect to the customer in spite of the times that the sloppy and poor quality of raw materials is everywhere. Besides, the kitchen is open to visitors, who can watch Mrs. Elpida prepare the Corfiot recipes with taste, such as sofrito, pastitsada, bourdeto, moussaka in clay, stuffed, keftedekia, Corfu sausage and much more! Paradosiakon, is a constant and exceptional choice. The eighty (80) years of its continuous operation prooves it, as well as the prize and the certification of the Region of Ionian Islands and the CC with EXCELLENT QUALITY / BEST QUALITY. We are waiting to take you on a tasting journey through a quality & rich gastronomic experience, coming from the tradition of Corfu!

We ate several times at To Paradosiakon because it was close to our hotel and the staff was very cordial and friendly with us. The location was great for people watching so we spent hours drinking beer and watching the locals and tourists go about their business. Food was average. Nothing was by any means spectacular. The place was by far the most popular on that particular street as all the tables were full all night while the restaurants on either side were practically emtpy until very late. The staff pretty much made our experience by being so engaging with us.

We ate here on our first trip into Corfu town. We hadn't really got our bearings and we stopped at the first place that 'dragged us in'!!!! It had wifi - which was a bonus. The restaurant is pretty enough visually - tables are on the pavement outside the restaurant - nice to watch the world go by. The Greek Salad was nice - good sized portions - but then not too hard to mess up. The pork gyro was full of gristle - not great. Again - large portion - what I could eat was very tasty. They also gave us some nice bread. €24 for the 2 of us was OK for what we got. Waiters were nice - but there did seem to be a lot of them - and I felt they were watching the tables like hawks - maybe in case anybody did a 'runner'!!!!!!!

We only spent one evening in Corfu Town, and were happy to have found this taverna - we like the Greek way of setting tables and chairs in the street! The waiters were friendly and service was prompt.

We had spanokopita (small feta & spinach filo pies), a huge Greek salad, 2 seafood pastas with heaps of prawns, squid, cuttlefish and mussels, 3 beers and 1/2 litre of house white and the bill was 55 euros. They also offered us quince halva and chocolate sauce on the house, which was a nice touch.

I really enjoyed having dinner at Paradosiakon, sitting in the street, watching the world go by, and eating tasty food at a decent price - it's well worth a visit, and really handy for the port.

In a busy tourist destination like Corfu Town it can sometimes be difficult to find a place to eat lunch at a reasonable price. To Paradosiakon serves typically Greek food and there is a good choice of dishes on the menu. Service was swift. We chose a range of mezes which were delicious. A good place for a lunch break.
