Solangon is your ultimate beach chill out and Coral Cay compliments this perfectly. The resort is really well looked after and immaculately presented - the restaurant/bar area is spacious with good sized tables, nice plants and flowers are everywhere and the pool is perfect for lounging round during the day.

We stayed in one of the beach front huts with fan. Room is a lovely size with a good bathroom, fan is a large overhead type which really circulates the air well and keeps you cool at night. Outside your door the sea is about 5m away (at high tide) and there is a hammock to lie and watch it all from. Solangon beach enjoys spectacular sunsets on an almost daily basis and you can sit on your own balcony or at the bar and take it in with a beer in hand.

The resort is in San Juan (where most of the accommodation is found) we'd arrived from Santander on a direct ferry that lands in Larena - be warned that the journey from Larena to San Juan will take you approx 40 mins by tricycle and should cost 300-400 PHP.

We stayed here at the end of our trip so were happy to take it pretty easy but we did use Apo Divers (700m away) which was recommended through the resort and they were very good. The name though is slightly misleading in that they actually don't do dives at Apo, I believe that it is only Coco Grove that runs trips there from Siquijor. If you wanted to get around whilst you're there, most guests we spoke to had rented a moped for ease and was significantly cheaper than lots of tricycle rides.

The restaurant and staff were particularly good and we didn't eat anywhere else in the 3 nights we stayed for. Selection is good and prices fairly standard.

Overall a super chilled out resort, really well laid out and with a lovely restaurant looking out on one of the best sunsets you will find in the Philippines.

Thanks!

This place is a quiet haven for tourists. We had dinner here and it was good. As the place is adjacent to our friend's house, we explored the accommodation they have. Beautiful nipa houses are settled along the beach. Did noy inquire about costs of accommodation.

We had been travelling long hours, this little retreat was recommended to us, we luckily got the last room, we stayed 5 days and moved around to other available rooms when needed as we hadn't booked. The staff were really nice and accommodating. Great pool and beach infront of restaurant. Really nice little place, lots of mosquitoes, ask the reception to spray your room, they will do graciously.

Room Tip: Great Place

We stayed on their biggest cottage. It was nice and I love the bathroom. We had some visitors,a gecko who took care of our problem when a big bee was inside and the other one is a rat so better not bring food inside or you'll tempt him and he'll give you a visit. The pool was nice. The month we visited was not a busy season so it was like private. The restaurant offers nice and delicious food while you are watching a nice view of the sea. There was a staff there on the front desk,a small woman with long curly hair, she was very kind and helpful. The kinda off thing is that the sea was kinda muddy, but it was a nice stay and we enjoyed eating while feeding some furry neighbors chilling on our side too.

I have to say the sunset here is the best I have seen so far, overwhelming beauty of the sunset is more than enough to make me come back here again. The food is decent. They have one pool and it's always clean which is good. The biggest downfall of this place is that there seems to be a nearby karaoke bar and is so loud that I barely slept last night, which makes me think twice that maybe I should try another resort here to view the amazing sunset, too bad cuz I love our beach front room! the bed not so good either because if you move a lil the bed squeaks alot.
