I've been on Siquijor for over a year, Coral Cay resort Restaurant (now named Up to You) was my favorite for a few specific dishes: great chili, great chicken tinola and their mango shakes, although pricey, are the best on the island!

Room Tip: Do go for a beachfront cottage, it is worth it

We stayed for 2 nights at cottage 15 which is right beside the long and white sand beach of Solangan, San Juan. The view of Mindanao Sea was so serene and very relaxing. The tide was just prefect for a morning walk along the beach. While, the wifi signal was only available at the Uptoyou bar and reception, it was worth the stay to chill out for the weekend.

Solangon is your ultimate beach chill out and Coral Cay compliments this perfectly. The resort is really well looked after and immaculately presented - the restaurant/bar area is spacious with good sized tables, nice plants and flowers are everywhere and the pool is perfect for lounging round during the day.

We stayed in one of the beach front huts with fan. Room is a lovely size with a good bathroom, fan is a large overhead type which really circulates the air well and keeps you cool at night. Outside your door the sea is about 5m away (at high tide) and there is a hammock to lie and watch it all from. Solangon beach enjoys spectacular sunsets on an almost daily basis and you can sit on your own balcony or at the bar and take it in with a beer in hand.

The resort is in San Juan (where most of the accommodation is found) we'd arrived from Santander on a direct ferry that lands in Larena - be warned that the journey from Larena to San Juan will take you approx 40 mins by tricycle and should cost 300-400 PHP.

We stayed here at the end of our trip so were happy to take it pretty easy but we did use Apo Divers (700m away) which was recommended through the resort and they were very good. The name though is slightly misleading in that they actually don't do dives at Apo, I believe that it is only Coco Grove that runs trips there from Siquijor. If you wanted to get around whilst you're there, most guests we spoke to had rented a moped for ease and was significantly cheaper than lots of tricycle rides.

The restaurant and staff were particularly good and we didn't eat anywhere else in the 3 nights we stayed for. Selection is good and prices fairly standard.

Overall a super chilled out resort, really well laid out and with a lovely restaurant looking out on one of the best sunsets you will find in the Philippines.

Thanks!

This place is a quiet haven for tourists. We had dinner here and it was good. As the place is adjacent to our friend's house, we explored the accommodation they have. Beautiful nipa houses are settled along the beach. Did noy inquire about costs of accommodation.

We had been travelling long hours, this little retreat was recommended to us, we luckily got the last room, we stayed 5 days and moved around to other available rooms when needed as we hadn't booked. The staff were really nice and accommodating. Great pool and beach infront of restaurant. Really nice little place, lots of mosquitoes, ask the reception to spray your room, they will do graciously.

Room Tip: Great Place
