Like many people when we find a restaurant we really like, we tend to keep going back. We did try other places, but this restaurant ticked all our boxes so we kept going back.
The taverna itself is family owned and could be considered basic - but it has an honesty and charm and doesn't suffer the pretensions of some other eateries in the town. Portions are large, the house wine (we only had the red) is very palatable and the cost very reasonable.
The food itself is excellent, I had a lamb kleftiko on their specials night, and it was one of the best I've had - traditionally cooked in paper and it was clear that it had been freshly cooked as it came steaming out of the oven. It was a popular dish as they had all gone by 8:00pm, which is the official opening time! Other dishes were just as good though and we always left very full indeed. A definite recommend.
