The hotel is modern and provides good clean rooms and amenities. However, rooms were not serviced until 4.00pm in the afternoon.
We initially wanted to stay 2 weeks but we were treated very rudely by a woman who turned out to be the Owner/Manager (she didn't identify herself as such initially), who said they were over-booked on the weekend and we would need to be moved to a smaller, lower grade room.
Normally we would be flexible but there was no apology forthcoming or talk of an adjustment in the tariff, and when we returned to the hotel on Friday afternoon, our luggage and items had been roughly packed up and moved upstairs to a top floor room.
There are also no lifts in the hotel.
Maybe this was a 'bad day' for the Bird Day Hotel, but based on this experience we cannot recommend this hotel.
