We arrived at the hotel at 10:00pm (greek time) with 2 young kids ages 5 and 7. After checking in with Reception, we asked if they could kindly give the kids something to eat as they've missed lunch as well, we were told the kitchen was closed. When we persisted in our request we were given a plate of fruit for the starving kids. On our way out though, we did realise guest were still eating and as such, the kids could have been given something to eat. The receptionist at the time was Vasilis. He was the only person who was so unhelpful throughout our stay and even appeared to have taken a dislike to us.
I think this policy of the hotel must be changed because 90% of guest have kids and they arrive at all hours of the day. It is very unneccesary as there is so much food left over that will be thrown away in any case. We asked if there was a takeaway joint anywhere we could order from but we were told that will be 6 miles away in Tigaki and a Taxi will be needed for that. Taxi will charge £10. So if you are travelling in the night , pls be aware of this fact and make sure you take something for the kids especially if your flight is in the night..

ROOM
Our room was very clean, it was cleaned every day and towels changed every day as well. The maids work really hard and nothing was ever too much to ask. Room was big and spacious with enough storage for all our stuff. No kids TV Channel in English, but millions in German?? But there is a DVD player which take UK DVDs so for those days when the sun is too much especially for the kids, pack some of their dvds. The hotel rents some out for one euro a day or so but not many exciting titles.
MEALS
Breakfast was always the same but with a wide range of breakkie stuff : from mushrooms, bacon, sausages, baked beans, toasties, choc drinks, pancakes, sunny side ups, assorted jams, dried fruits, greek yoghurt (very good quality), honey, and some deserts.
Lunch was salads, fish, different meats both hot and cold, desserts, coffees and teas, ricey stuff and potatoey stuff.
Dinner was more elaborate and more attention was paid to the food and the service. There is always desserts served with all meals.
One got bored of the food after about 5 days but through no fault of the kitchen. They seem to offer variation but if you are serving guest from so many different countries, there is only so much you can do.
At the restaurant, there is a drink machine for fizzies and tea/coffee and beer.
The restaurant staff were always lovely with so many people demanding different things always, kids breaking glasses and adults asking for tables amidst other demands.
Joanna the restaurant supervisor was ever so sweet, she will do anything for you. She even managed to get me a cake and a candle when she knew it was my bday!! She is always smiling and very professional always!
The assistant restaurant manager whose name I've forgotten always made sure everything was working well.
Waiters were so smart and polite with guest.
Bar staff Arlind was awesome, good at his job and clearly loves it too. Makes great cocktails with pride and perfection. Always smiling, always asking what he can make for you. He knows his guest so well, once he sees you, he starts making your fav tipple before you even ask.
Pool bar staff Panagiotis and Stamatis(not sure of spelling) were brilliant too. They clearly enjoyed what they did.
Bell boy Iode..?? was lovely always ready to help.
Iqbal, lifeguard was brilliant at keeping the kids safe at the water slides too.
ENTERTAINMENT
Rubbish, rubbish rubbish. Get some cards to entertain you. The kids seem to enjoy the little sketches but I couldn't stick it I'm afraid.
Dont underestimate the heat, you will need a lot of light clothing and lots of swim suits.
Beach is not great and be careful with the kids going there on thier own.
You can rent bikes, quad bikes, scooters in the hotel. You wouldn't need a car hire for more than 2 days. We hired a car for a day and covered the whole island. And the kids wont want to leave the pool either so dont spend too much money on it.
If you are a Brit, pls leave being polite at the door and wake up in the morning to book a sunbed and some shade or else you will be room bound.
The hotel provides beach towels to dont need to take one.
GYM
Very dissapointing, 1 treadmill and broken equipments. I had to go for a run instead.
Hope this review helps someone. Many thanks.
