We ate at Que Tal, in the alleyway running between yacht harbour and fishing harbour, in early November, as a change from the usual seafood tavernas on the waterfront. It was the highlight of our week - our 10 year anniversary treat. Never had a meal like it. Here's a link to the website menu:
However this really doesn't explain the dining experience! We chose a set menu package (not cheap but worth every penny) where we had 4 courses for €45pp in a type of tasting menu, with 3 or 4 ways of cooking each course, and commencing with an "appetiser" picture (won't spoil the surprise by saying any more) then 3 ways with lobster (pieces of lobster, a lobster espresso and another lobster-based concoction), then 3 ways with fois gras, 3 ways with duck and finally 3 ways with chocolate - some wild ideas amongst it all but brilliant and we loved every minute. The presentation was spectacular and original, but not at the expense of flavour. This is not a restaurant for those seeking traditional fare, but perfect for foodies who love trying different things. The food is quite rich so you don't come away hungry. This restaurant prides itself in having fun with food, but the ambience is very upmarket with lovely staff who explain each dish. Highly recommended for a special evening. Pre-booking is recommended as there are limited tables.
