We had our bags carried up to our rooms by the owners Son who showed us the safe and which keys were which. The hotel was spotless throughout, and cleaned every day. There was a fridge which was really quiet.
There is plenty of drawer and hanging space. I am a light sleeper but the air con didn't keep me awake, most air conditioning units make a noise.
The hotel have umbrellas and some sun beds to use, but most people venture further down the road to use the sunbeds and umbrellas attached to the restaurants.
They are free but you are expected to buy a drink out of courtesy.
There are mosquito shades to the balcony doors which was really nice, as with the doors open you can fall asleep listening to the sea... Wonderful!
Breakfast consists of bread butter and jam, with boiled eggs, cake, coffee and juice, yogurt, pop the honey on this. It's plenty, but I suppose if you were there for two weeks you may need a change.
The hotel is at the end of the resort, so it is quiet, we only saw a couple of motorbikes but didn't notice any fumes. The shower is hand held, and there were a couple of bars of soap and some shower gel.
We had a great time.

Room Tip: Room 310 ocean facing is on the corner so has a bigger balcony, the room to one side is a linen room, therefore you only have one neighbour

I would recommend this hotel and resort to anyone who is looking for a quiet family holiday. The hotel is located at the far end of the resort so it is not at all noisy, in fact all we could really hear were the waves and the wood pigeons! We stayed in a sea view room, which had a large balcony and lovely views across the bay. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was cleaned very well every day. This is a lovely, peaceful location if you are looking for some quiet beach days and to recharge the batteries. The Greeks were very friendly in the tavernas and shops and we had some tasty meals in a variety of places. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in July, it certainly exceeded our expectations of a 2* hotel and should certainly be rated higher. The room was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every day for the whole holiday. The view from our balcony (room 310) was amazing and the balcony was huge with two comfortable director chairs to sit and listen to the sound of the sea. We put the mosquito blind down at night and left the doors open to listen to the waves as we fell to sleep. The room had a large fridge which we filled with cold water, cold drinks including wine and ouzo! It also had an ice box and we froze water to take to the beach every day. Breakfast was the same every day but was perfect for us, Greek yogurt and honey, cake, cheese, ham, hard boiled egg and the best tasting bread around.

The hotel sits directly on a road with the beach right opposite but the road is very quiet and it is at the quiet end of the bay. The resort of Finikounda is lovely, with tavernas all dotted along the beach, a meal for 2 was under 30 Euros for starter, main and drinks (a litre of nice wine 7 Euros). This is a resort with mainly Greek families who are enjoying family life. The local supermarket sells the best pastries (get in there before 10am as they go quickly) and inexpensive lovely wine and ouzo for the hotel room. There are places to visit nearby and we loved this holiday so much we are returning next year to the same hotel for 2 weeks and will visit some local historical sites. Highly recommend if you want a relaxing holiday with beautiful views and authentic Greek food.

Located right on the main beach road, a stone's throw away form the beach, this family ran hotel offers almost everything you may expect from a region like Finikounda. It is about 5 mins walk from the pedestrian street where all shops are located. You may enjoy swimming either at the beach on front of the hotel or at the next beach which is about 3 mins walk away. Recommended!

First the positives, our apartment 112 was just across the road from a lovely beach and very convenient for shops and tavernas. The apartment was kept clean and bedding / towels were changed frequently. The air con is good and free, the "safe" is free, lots of hot water.
Now the negatives, the furniture should be in a skip, not an apartment. The beds are uncomfortable and short, my legs hang over the end if I lay flat, the pillows are less comfortable than the beds. The kitchen is poorly equipped and incredibly cramped, a small electric hot plate with a smaller hot plate for the coffee pan, no kettle no toaster. We cooked toast by putting bread in the frying pan. Decent fridge. The bathroom is incredibly dated and so cramped that you will need to perform a special reversing dance before using the facilities. The shower head leaks from the hose junction, the sink wobbles as its not fitted properly, the loo seat is broken, there are wires poking out of the wall, the lighting is awful and the wiring looks dangerous. The roof leaks when it rains and when I looked closer the wood was completely rotten in one corner. The mosquitos drove us mad, we had to by two tins of spray plus anti mosi spray and after bite ointment. The safe, though free, is not fixed to anything so you can pick it up and move it where you want. The room is not large enough to eat in so you'll have to eat on the patio, this would be o k but the mozzies make it miserable. Overall the apartment could be improved considerably with the addition of a kettle, toaster, a new loo seat, a new shower hose and a day of maintenance and some love. The owner gave us the key on the first day and apart from that we barely saw him, even on the last day nobody was there or at the hotel so I left the key on the desk.
Needless to say we won't be returning to Korakakis apartments and quite frankly Thomas Cook need to be more selective about the standard and safety of the accommodation they are offering.
