I had a very good stay in Golden pine. Resort is located right on the beach road , is very well maintained with spacious rooms and villas. 5* infinity swimming pool. Staff here is amazingly polite and welcoming. Option to rent a bicycle for free to ride along the beach. Every night local market in walking distance. Definitely coming back :)

All the staff treated us in the best way possible
The surrounding areas inside the complex was well groomed and cozy
The swimming pool was something extra special

Golden Pine is getting a bit old, but we loved it anyway. We were in the main building on the 3rd floor with an amazing view through the coconut trees out to the water. Our room was pretty huge with a good shower and a comfy, clean bed. The free wifi was a bit slow, but worked well enough. And breakfast next morning was simple, but really good. They had an egg-guy there who just makes whatever style of eggs you want on demand. (My favorite breakfast-buffet thing!). The staff didn't seem to speak much English at all, but they were friendly and helpful. In fact, Pranburi is very much a Thai getaway destination, so there are very few non-Thais anyway. I didn't see one group of package tourists from abroad, which was a nice change compared with every destination in Thailand that is already on the tourist map.

We really enjoyed our night at Golden Pine. It was just a weekend getaway from Bangkok, but it's so chilled and quiet down on Pranburi beach that one night felt like 3 in terms of de-stressing. Note that this is NOT a place for long strolls on the beach. In fact, from Pranburi River in the north, to near the south 1/3 of the beach, there's just a sea-wall walking path. To get to any sand at low tide, you have to work your way though a wall of boulders and chicken-wire that support the wall. So if you want a chilled beach with nice views, but don't care about swimming so much, this part of the beach is great.

Having said that, if you want to swim, they have a great pool. It's a 2-meter deep fresh-water pool, which is rare for Thailand. It's infinity-style overlooking the ocean, which was awesome.

Location wise, you will really need a car if you want to go anywhere. The south end of the beach has more restaurants and so on. Golden Pine is on a stretch with just other resorts.

Room Tip: A 3rd floor beach-view room in building A for views. Or a bungalow by the beach (smaller rooms) to be closer to the garden area and pool.

I spent only one night in this hotel during my trip to the southern Thailand. However, it made a good impression with its manicured garden, nice ambience and tranquility. My room was clean and spacious and I must say that freshly prepaired dinner with grilled fish was delicious. Restaurant is located in the fresh air so you can enjoy the weather. As for the staff, all of them work hardly. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a longer stay- there is no real beach nearby and swimming pool is located next to the road. To sum up, it's a great place to spend a night and rest after a tiring journey.

It is fairly old but what it lacks in modernity it more than makes up for in serenity. The resort is very peaceful and is right across the street from probably the nicest beachfront in the area. The pool is nice although aged and the accommodations a bit worn. However, the staff is friendly and being at the property is very calming.

Room Tip: Go with a villa if possible.
