Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel
Ranked #9 of 43 Hotels in Mactan Island

Upon check in we were greeted with a cool face towel and a juice drink. It was great since it was so hot! We've stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and we can see some of the upgrades that they have done. There were 4 of us -
2 adults and 2 children. We had a room with a double bed and a single bed. Our children were still young so they were able to both fit in a single bed. Otherwise, I think 2 older children (10 and up) would struggle to fit in that one single bed. The bathroom was large with a bathtub. There was also a refrigerator and a safe in the room.
The swimming pool was great, although, I should warn you that the slide could be dangerous. Our children, ages 8 and 9, wanted to go down the slide. The lifeguard warned them to go down slowly. If they go too fast they might actually go over the slide. Just watch out for that bit. Otherwise, the swimming pool was great with a bridge over it. The beach was nice with white sand and wicker seating. They had put barriers on the sea. I suppose that made it safer to swim in the water since the waves are just about non-existent near the shore.
The food was great and the menu was extensive.
They also have 2 restaurants and although we ate at the main restaurant my husband was able to order a dish from the other restaurant (they have a different menu). The live band was excellent and their singers had beautiful voices. The breakfast buffet was also very good with lots of choices. We did both - some of us did the breakfast buffet while I ordered a plated breakfast.

The hotel offered shuttle to Cebu city mall, either Ayala or SM, once a day. We used that service to go to Ayala. It only offered one way shuttle but we were fine catching a taxi from the mall back to the hotel. It was a metered taxi.
The hotel also had airport transfer (with a fee) which we used. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We'd stay here again :-)

Dear mariz,

It was wonderful having you back in Costabella. Thank you for choosing us again for
your family holiday.

We are glad that you appreciate our warm welcome and the upgrades that we have done in the Resort. We continuously improve to ensure that our guests are satisfied with their stay. Our rooms have different bed configurations. Please feel free to e-mail rsvn@costabellaresort.com to specify your preference the next time you visit and we will gladly provide it to you for as long as available.

For the safety of our guests especially with children, our pool attendants take time to remind them of the proper usage of our swimming pool facilities. A lot of our guests find this gesture a good way of having a more pleasurable stay.

We are glad that you loved our food and enjoyed your overall experience in Costabella including our daily free shopping trips to the big malls in Cebu City.

We are all excited to see you again soon!

My first time in the Phillipines and to Cebu - the standout feature of this resort was the staff although the room was comfortable, the food tasty (the grilled fish and prawns my favourite), I had a wonderful foot massage, and I grew a taste for an evening 'old fashioned' from the tapas bar which was always served with warmth. A very easy few days - thank you to all staff.

Dear Mae G,

Thank you for spending your family holiday with us. We are happy that that your son and nephew had a great time in our swimming pools.

The changing of tides can really affect the beach surface; the teeming marine life in our area is an indication of a healthy ecosystem which makes our swimming area clean and ideal for swimming.

The next time you visit please give it a try, see you back soon!

I was at Costabella more than 4 times. And I am sure I will go back again... Last one was this april. I defenetly suggest this place for everione who are looking for a nice hotel with perfect services. - The breakfast I love, I usually ask the staff to make an omlett and they make it for you the front of you, so you can just ask what you want to put it in. - The dinnertime also love when the local band playing music for you .... there is many things to see in CEBU and around CEBU, so if you want than at the hotel reception you can find many alternatives to go for a day trip to check the island, waterfall, sharkwaching...ect.

Room Tip: I usually take the pool side delux rooms...but this is only my suggestion.
