In Kalmata you have choice stay by the sea or in the centre with nothing in between

Elektra hotel is in the Port and is a very very easy place to find, its ideal for business meetings etc as everyone knows it, i Main season they have an amazing breakfast and its possible just to come for that and many people do

They have a health spa here if thats your bag but my spa is the roof pool cocktail bar, pretty outstanding and a good range of snacks not cheap but measures are big

Hotel has not bad sized rooms and they go out of their way to be helpful, I know as needed a Dr one time and they arranged all for me and few hours later Dr arrived

Worth the money

They have a little shop selling local wines and products at not rip off prices in fact the shop is part of a chain and all prices same.

Good wifi

exactly next door is the Jumbo supermarket so if your buying a load of household stuff plates etc , kids stuff its all next door

This is an ideal business hotel or a hotel you want to crash in after a 2 hour run from athens before going further, DON'T drive on the roads to Stoupa Mani etc if your tired, I am a great driver but they are very very Taxing and you can get Killed easy, stop a night, see the sea or go to the revamped old town, this was and is a life saver hotel for me, stayed many times no issues.

Taxis are dirt cheap 3 euros from hotel to centre

luv luv luvvvvvvvvvvvv the place

Room Tip: ask for front room sea view jumbo side

Very well located hotel. Close to the city and the coast! Three minutes walking from the Marina of the city, where there are some of the nicest restaurant! The breakfast is very rich and delicious! Spa services are of very high quality! Ideal for business and vacations! Try the sauna, jakuzzi and massage therapies!

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and of big quality but the rooms in the higher floors offer nicer sea view!

We attended the Terrazza Cocktail Bar and Restaurant on the roof of the Elektra Hotel for a celebratory dinner. The site is good with a view over the inner harbour. The cocktail - Negroni - they mixed for us was excellent. The food was of high quality. We had a tuna tartare followed by a rare rib eye steak both of which were good. On the downside there was a certain lack of finesse in the service e.g. the cutlery was not changed between courses despite moving from fish to meat, and no opportunity given to taste the wine before pouring. Also avoid the table near to the external speaker as the volume tends to be loud enough to interfere with normal conversation unless you are a rap freak. We asked for it to be turned down a little which was done. Minor points maybe but enough to lose the fifth star.
No experience of staying at the hotel itself.

Very nice. Clean rooms, and very polite staff.
The restaurant on the roof is very nice as well.
Just 10 minutes walk from the city center.
Just next to the train park, which is worthy to visit passing by towards the center.
Approximately 12 minutes from Kalamata airport.

We booked the hotel for two nights but we only stayed one. Overflowed bathroom and very smelly sewage! The hotel said that provides private parking but it's actually street parking (if you are lucky you may find)! Also had one bathrobe for a double room, bed was crackling, no shutters and as a result the daylight woke us and the floor was worn and dirty!
