A nice hotel with good features, a friendly staff and good beds, located right across the street from the beach. Definitely worth a stay.
The breakfast was basic, but okay. Toast, cakes, a simple spread of ham and cheese as well as some cereals. They didn't have the wide selection of hot foods (bacon, sausages etc.) that you find in some hotels, but if a restaurant-style breakfast is what you want, you can always search for something a bit more expensive.
The rooms were very good; good beds, a modern A/C system that doesn't make too much noise, and the bathrooms seemed new. The elevator was of the old style, but functional. If you ask for a room with a view, you can get one that looks out towards the beach. My room (213) didn't have a view of the ocean, but I didn't mind. There are TVs in the rooms and I was happy that they had at least one English-speaking channel (CNN). The only drawback for me was the wi-fi, which didn't work properly (I tried the phone, iPad, PC, nothing working).
The location is right on the waterfront. Along the boulevard, you can find restaurants as well as the actual beach. It was a real treat living this close to the water.More
