The resort is close to the beach, shop, takeaways and restaurant. The room was clean and well maintained. Dianna was lovely to deal with and went beyond our expectations for the weekend. The kids loved the pool and spa. A fantastic place to stay to enjoy Waipu Cove.

Room tip: All rooms looked great!

We only stayed here one night but were impressed with the location as it is very close to the beach. Staff were welcoming and informative about the area. The room was comfortable and clean with a hot tub and swimming pool close by. Enjoyed a magical sunset on the nearby beach.

Self contained apartment style motel room with separate bedroom .
We could see and hear the couple next door on the outside patio.Hot pool is good but needs to be booked (white board outside) Short walk to the beach is spoilt by the dustbins .However the beach is phenomenal, miles long ,and absolutely fabulous.

Hi Steve, thank you for your review and pleased you enjoyed the beach. Not much can be done about neighbours in a motel situation, apart from reporting excessive noise to reception, so that we can ask guests to quiet it down. We are also pleased you enjoyed the Hot Spa Pool. As the direct access to the beach is through the camp ground there is little we can do about the Rubbish Bins on their property. Better to have bins than just have the rubbish lying around. We thank you for staying with us and wish you safe travels.

As we squeezed into the car-park and saw the barrack like building I thought 'Oh dear', but once we stepped over the threshold, all our fears were gone as this is one of the best small motels we've ever stayed in! The modern, high-end build was imaginatively designed and immaculate. Excellent kitchen and bathroom spaces with good water pressure. Nice lounge and bedroom and it's own little patio out the back. Superb beach just a short stroll through the back gate and across the campsite. The pool was bigger than first impression, and there was a hot tub also. Communal laundry, small diary next door and an excellent restaurant 100m down the road, all added to our enjoyment of this venue. The manageress, Diana, could not have been more helpful even cleaning the communal barbeque before I used it. If there was a downside it was the lack of air-con but when we stayed the weather was exceptionally hot and humid. The cigarette smoke from the next unit's patio did waft up into our bedroom so air-con would have been very welcome. There was nothing else needed!

Room tip: We had a one-bedroom unit, I understand bigger units are available. I couldn't say that the situation of any unit was better than another.

Hi Ian,
Thank you for your great review and pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes the project for this year is to improve and redo the entrance and car park area, to make it more appealing on arrival and then to repaint and re-brand. Hopefully you can return sometime and see the progress. Last year it was great to get heating on the swimming pool which has seen it getting more use. Safe Travels and Kind Regards.
