Their homemade ice cream and sorbets are certainly worth a stop in Egersund! Blueberry, rhubarb, black current… among others…. great flavours to savour. The chocolate factory is a small cozy shop, and has fun variations (nuts, coffee, berries, salt etc) for different chocolate lovers. We´ll be back.

Thank David E

OK place with OK chocolate. They don't offer Tea and do not make the chocolate themselves. Very kind staff and have a cozy place to sit outside, that is when the weather allows you to.

Located in the heart of Egersund, a very picturesque little town near Stavanger, the Chokoladefabrik is a must-do. Our hostess - bless her, I cant remember her name at the moment! - was very friendly and even gave us a small plate of free chocolate buttons to enjoy with our coffee and chocolate citrus balls (they are absolutely divine, by the way!). There are lots of different chocolates to choose from, and I just had to buy an Egersund puzzle as a memento of our visit. Travel tip - allow for enough time to travel from Stavanger to Egersund. There are maintenance work being done on large sections of the train tracks - meaning that quite a distance is traveled by bus - which takes forever!
