Our stay at the Bear Cove Bed & Breakfast was incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. Everything from the beautiful property & view, to the comfortable beds and delicious breakfast was perfect. After a great day exploring Tobermory, we finished off the evening with a relaxing hot tub and fell asleep to the sounds of the waves. We woke up the next morning to a HUGE and gourmet breakfast. Enjoyed the beautiful view on the dock as we sipped our coffee. The hosts were so friendly and inviting. We had a hard time leaving and are looking forward to returning. My only regret is that we only stayed one night.

Room Tip: "Party shower" in the big suite is amazing!

This was our 2nd time staying here, the first was in fall of 2016. Somehow, this visit was even better than the first time. Jim went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. There is something special about this place that keeps you coming back. Whether sitting by the dock watching the sunset, warming up in the hot tub, or enjoying the fantastic breakfast, you'll be glad you are here.

Can't wait to spent many more nights here. I cannot recommend Bear Cove enough for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

The Bear Cove is a delightful and relaxing spot and I would recommend to anyone. Breakfasts are (try the butter tarts!), there are kayaks and a paddle boat for enjoying the water, a hot tub for relaxing and stargazing, and location is an easy 5-10 minutes from the main attractions in the area. Plus Jim is a truly fabulous host. This was a lovely place to spend a few nights of our trip through Ontario and Quebec. We hope to come back.

We spent two glorious nights. The place itself is just gorgeous. Comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms, beautifully appointed throughout.

The outer grounds are a delight, with many different places to sit, swim, boat or just observe the beautiful sights and sounds of nature.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful with local restaurant recommendations. We stayed in the "Symphony Suite" - very comfortable, quiet and a great ensuite.

Breakfasts both days filling, fresh, warm and very tasty - a great way to start the day. We met some delightful guests over breakfast the second day.

All in all a great Inn, with amenities to enjoy and a perfect location for basing all of your Tobermory adventures.

Room Tip: Symphony room has ensuite. Other two-person room has own bathroom outside of room (but it has its own deck).

Canada Day Weekend we found ourselves back at the Bear Cove Bed & Breakfast. We had such a wonderful time the previous year we had to comeback to the two hosts that made our previous stay so great.

I thought I had I said it all in my previous review, but I have to say that the boys have been busy and have made the house even better. They've extended the dock on the water which has made the water front even more enjoyable and all of the rooms now have their own washrooms.

We stayed in the Parker-Bateman Suite. Gone is the jacuzzi. It has been replaced with a huge walk in shower with a state of the art 5-Way Thermostatic Shower Panel. The temperature of the water is digitally set, you can select to stand under a rain shower head, or be treated to spa like conditions with water jets that either massage or lightly spray a fine mist. There's even a setting for your feet and a traditional Hand Shower. The Symphony Suite now has its own ensuite bathroom. It too has the same shower Panel as the P/B Suite. The Shabby Chic Gay Fabulous Suite now has exclusive rights to the main floor bathroom which has a tub and an outdoor balcony Both bathroom additions are stunning.

So again, Jim and Doug have done it again. The changes are amazing. Not only do they in my opinion have the finest B&B in Tobermory, they are always looking to improve the house and your stay.

We will always come back here every year.
