We do this every year and we love it. Early December gets you right in the festive spirit. With the complimentary mince pies on arrival beautiful carols being sung by local schools betfred giving out free scarfs the little indoor market the racing mulled the mulled wine. Perfect way to get you in the mood for Christmas

Sandown Park is our local racecourse so over the years we've been many times: to racing, concerts and other entertainment.
This time there was racing followed by a Tom Jones concert.
The concert was great, he is such an accomplished entertainer. However as we we were leaving one of our party went to the Ladies - it was disgusting. Sure the clientele is not what it used to be but if that is now the norm I would think that the Ladies could be cleaned whilst everybody was watching the concert.
Sandown Park management please take note!

I have been to 'The Tingle' meeting on many occasions, you could always tell the time of year, Xmas trees, mince pies, carols, it's always been a great occasion, not this year! It might just have well of been a very cold Easter with an German band. It was far too crowded, 20 minutes wait for a beer (£5.40) was scandalous! 15 minute wait for the loo on a cold day was no fun either. Sadly it's the last time I will be at 'The Tingle' to the owners of this course, enjoy your Christmas counting your money, after all that really is all you're concerned about!!!

This is the first time I've been to The Tingle Creek Race Meeting and to be honest, it will be the last time. It was obvious from the outset they had sold far too many tickets and the staff and facilities couldn't cope with the numbers. As always the racing was great but at £5.20p per pint of 4% Carling served in a plastic glass you would expect it to be served cold, quickly and with some bubbles, no not according to The Sandown Beverages People. The queues at the bars were ridiculous and at one point we were told to go and find glasses otherwise we couldn't be served as this bar had run out. The queue for the gents was 20 minutes, really?
In a Premier Enclosure at a premium Racecourse you expect far better, the Management at Sandown should hang their head's in shame instead of counting the takings. Unfortunately I like many other's will not be returning, it was a disgrace and a fine example of how not to do it.

Here for the Tingle on Saturday, first class race along with the Henry VIII novice chase but everything else was poor unfortunately.

We were in the Solario Suite for the Christmas Cracker restaurant package.
The Drinks / Waiter service was awful, really slow and clearly inexperienced staff who spilt drinks on more than one occasion and that was just our table.

The food was Beef or Turkey with a vegetarian option and I must say it was nice BUT if it was hot it would have been nicer ! It was barely warm and this wasn't just out table as the table either side of commented the same on how cold the food was.

Then there is the issue with the toilet facilities, Sandown is not able to accommodate large crowds on premium racedays. I visited the toilet twice and queued 10mins the fist visit and 15mins on the second visit TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE ! Why oh why this has still not been addressed is beyond me and this has been an issue for along as Ive been going to Sandown (many years) also this was the toilet located directly outside the Solario but this was the shortest queue by far looking around at the other toilet facilities which is a real shame as it could be a real easy fix. (management pleas take note this time)
