This hotel has recently been renovated and I would say it's in a relaunch phase. Let me say before I give my feedback points that I would come back and recommend it to viewers and friends alike.

The best points are it's beauty and tranquil. Our room was clean and well equipped. The view (see picture) was great.

Breakfast was lovely , self service and never a problem with the choice. Only small ? Was the bread that was a bit crumbly, but what a view to help it down though !

The swimming areas are a delight, quiet peaceful with one small feedback point is that the loungers in both pool areas need some attention as neither set are that comfortable.

The staff are all lovely - seemingly their is a GM but I was not aware until the last night... so would recommend a little more visibility and approach from him during our stay.

On arrival we were hungry but (this was a recurring theme) the restaurant could not muster a cheese/meat platter even through available at breakfast. This is one example of a few that I found rather odd (hence confused) as I thought maybe the restaurant and hotel although integrated where in fact not under the same ownership... as some flexibility was needed. The focus for lunch and dinner is more of an experience than casual - even to the hotel guests.

We did have one dinner and it was fab but really for a special occasion rather than regular meal. I do think hotel guests should be encouraged to enjoy the lovely food but maybe they want to keep it more exclusive.

One staff member MIchaela was exceptional always attentive and hard working. I am not saying the others where not but she deserves a special mention.

One other point - and it's great for a 100% getaway - the wifi only works near the main building so in the lower ( they have 2 pool areas) pool forget it and in our room too.

Finally not recommended for families with young kids. Their is a small play area but not one I would have let my young kids play in. Stones based not safe for them.

As said at beginning these points are in a sense small but added together it's clear the hotel and restaurant seek clientele that are looking too for peace , quiet and a touch of chic.

Looking for a tranquil, luxurious retreat where you won't be fighting for sun beds or hassled then this is the spot!! We booked last minute wanting a short 5 day getaway and got the last of 19 rooms. Chic meets Bali is the best way to describe the spacious double room with a lovely view. All the rooms seem to face towards the sea!
A fabulous place to escape from the hustle and bustle and just gaze out from the infinity pool over the beautiful costa Smerelda. Set in its own grounds high up on a hill you are assured of a warm welcome and lovely Michaela shakes a mean cocktail!! The restaurant provides fine dining with an Italian twist but you can head into one of the local towns or ports for hearty traditional Italian fare (highly recommend La Vecchia Lampara on the. beach at Cannigione - if there's 2 of you ask for table 16 looking into the water) Hiring a car is a must but after a day touring the local area it was lovely to arrive back and just chill in the pool to just the sound of nothing

A beautiful and tranquil setting and very kind and hospitable staff made our short stay unforgettable! Even in the highest of gigh season you never get the impression the hotel being crowded.
Don't tell your friends as it might be fully booked next time you wish to go...!

Finistreddi is what it claims to be: a luxury retreat, expensive but classy. Peace and quiet, great views, beautiful pools even if we could barely use them because the mistral made them too windy. Adequate rooms and breakfast. Excellent staff, very helpful with tourist information. They recommended a great tour of the Maddalena islands in a sailing boat, totally worth its extra price. It is not really a place for children, but the staff was incredibly nice with our 6 year old daughter - special mention for Michela the bartender who entertained her while we were enjoying dessert! Food trying to be creative and standing out from the standards even if still on the expensive side especially the wines - to charge 8 euros per glass of a (very nice indeed) Vermentino that cost 9 euros per bottle in the shop is a bit outlandish even in a nice hotel! But the excellent service makes the dinner an uplifting experience and worth having at least once.

The attention to detail of the rooms, decor and landscaping was stunning from the moment we stepped onto the property. The hotel staff was friendly and always willing to help - from arranging a chartered boat to taxis to finding a way to bring us lunch after lunch hours. The spa was small but very well appointed. The views of the water from afar was a perfect way to end our ten day trip to Corsica and Sardinia. This place was definitely a luxurious country retreat that we didn't want to leave!
