We were 8 old school friends (all men 60+) and the Priory was perfect. Greeted and helped on arrival - Owners available if we needed them (only once to remind us how the Oven worked - Oh! and again to take a photo of us all). Accommodation was extremely good - comfortable beds - lovely lounge - and great dining room. The kitchen was brilliant - lots of room and easy to use appliances (commercial quality) which cooked things very quickly. Plenty of parking and lovely garden. I would recommend the Priory without hesitation.

We booked The Old Priory very last minute due to a cancelled weekend in Scotland that we should have been going on for Mums 65th. The owners were brilliant at helping us with the arrangements on such short notice. The Old Priory itself was fantastic with each bedroom like a hotel room. We thought it might be a little cool at night but it was lovely and warm. One of the sitting rooms was a little chilly in the evening but the other one was fine. The gardens and the little town was lovely for a nice walk and we ate in a local restaurant called no 6 which was lovely also.

The facilities in the house were fantastic and the professional kitchen was amazing, particularly as we had booked a private chef for the Sunday evening, Enzo from Bath (highly recommended).

The garden is lovely also, I imagine it would be lovely in summer.

Transport links to Bath are easy to navigate and the owners arranged minibus transport for us as well.

A fabulous weekend was had by all. The Old Priory would be great for any group function, or family event and we will be sure to return.

The Old Priory is a beautiful building and very well maintained. We took the whole house for Christmas week. Family members could come and go; each couple having their own bedroom suite worked perfectly. The professional kitchen made food preparation easy and provided enough space for several work stations and a convivial atmosphere. Having a large supermarket five minutes walk from the front door was a real blessing. Melody and Matt had provided a lovely fresh Christmas tree in the hall and the lounge was also decorated and very cosy. The family loved having the bar and the dining room tables were pushed together to provide one long table - perfect for large family dinners. All in all an excellent venue for a very comfortable and atmospheric Christmas gathering.

All our family met up for new year here, driving from all corners of England!! :-) We were first to arrive, and Melody and Matt met us , Matt then gave us the full tour. Unpacked our car, and the rest of the family arrived. first things first, the beef was in the oven for New Years eve dinner, the drinks were in the fridge to chill down, then the festivities started.
There are more than enough bedrooms for everyone, all en-suite. all your shower gels, shampoo's and plenty of towels.
The living rooms are spacious and the the dining table sat everyone comfortably.
We would recommend this property to anyone wanting a large house to fit everyone in and have a great time together.
Would love to return sometime.
