This is a delightful hotel on just south of Grenoble. It is an ancient chateau that has been surrounded by later development but the 21st Century, although close, is definitely kept well away.
It is not difficult to find if you have brought an appropriate scale map but the turns are obscure. When close, the petrol station is a good landmark.
Various have made comments about the restaurant. To clarify_
The hotel does large receptions, weddings etc and you need to be aware that the restaurant is shut for most of the weekend.
The gates are shut at 2200hrs.
The restaurant is of great quality. The menu is long and varied but there is a very good "guests menu" at 30 euros a head.
Breakfast was well presented and tasty
The wine list is extensive and of excellent quality, however, the cheapest bottle of white was 29 euros.
There is a small but delightful swimming pool with adequate loungers and seating.
When booking there is a choice of room type a "chambre" and "chambre charme".We had the latter. More spacious but of similar high standard as the others. Note they do not offer dressing gowns or slippers etc.
When booking, make sure you have reserved for dinner and get a a price for the package of room and breakfastMore
