We stayed here two weeks ago. It was everything I needed for a relaxing week before joining a cruise.
It was very clean and the food was excellent. My husband loved the soups
The bar staff were happy to work there and it showed in their customer service.
The entertainment was traditional and we enjoyed the Greek night and the Frankie Vali singer.
It has a lovely pool which has a child's part and a shallow end for entering .
Overall a great stay and we are returning next June. Thanks to the family for a great stay. Should have stayed there instead of joining the Marella Discovery 2 cruise. That was not good at all.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor for sea view.

We stayed at this hotel following a weeks cruise on the Marella Discovery 2. We booked the hotel after reading so many positive reviews on Trip Advisor.

The hotel was spotless and food was fine although we considered it to be a limited choice.
Our room was on the ground floor, it was small and quite cramped, the beds were uncomfortable and there was no air conditioning unless you paid. We were unable to sit out on the balcony due to the mosquitoes.

There was a notice in the Reception area requesting guests keep noise levels down at night, obviously people must have previously complained. Every night we were woken up by shouting, this was after midnight and into the early hours.

The grounds of the hotel including the pool area are quite small and became quite crowded. We found that unless you were out early reserving a sun lounger it was often impossible to find one free. There were several sun loungers stacked up but nowhere to place them.

The staff in the hotel were always very pleasant, however I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

Spent a week at the Alkion and after a 2 year break, it’s just as great. We love the family run hotel and all of its staff. They are the best and will do anything for you. The entertainment was brilliant yet again the show with Jane and the man who was on a X Factor was the best this year. Cherie is brilliant at dealing with any issues, not that we really had any. Even the cleaner reported and our faulty plug socket was fixed in half a day, we didn’t even report it! Christos and Kostas run a brilliant bar. Only issue for me was no Mythos on tap! Or Zorba or Fix, so bottled it was. Food as always was brilliant, Mr Christos is a brilliant chef. Visit Marias gold shop and treat your wife/girlfriends to some unique jewellery. Alkion please don’t give into the British moaning and keep all your meals Greek. Thank you Thomas and Spiros for a great time, until next time take care. ps: I think that was our 15 visit

My wife ang myself went here for a week.
Great family run hotel food, service, staff and location all good. Rooms a bit dated but very clean.
Entertainment every night above average.
Only one draw back if you like your coffee or tea in your room you will have to take your own.
Everything else was great. Would go back as l enjoyed my week in the hotel.

Another year and another week at the Alkyon, I love this hotel. It is very basic, but very clean, I could go here on my own and know that I would be looked after, the food is limited but very good, there is entertainment every night, if you can make sure you watch the group called Splinter, the guy on guitar is absolutely amazing. I go with my friend Debbie every year and we love it here, and the main reason is the staff, Sheree and Michael on reception,Maria at breakfast, Chris and Costas behind the bar and Deano and Devon waiting on, and everyone else, nothing is too much trouble for them, they are alll so kind and caring, they make your stay at the Alkyon perfect, we have already booked our week for next year, it’s our second home, already counting down xxxx
