This is a great restaurant in a beautiful old building with well kept gardens. It is very close to a main road but when you are inside you do not realise it probably because it is on a round about corner and cars slow down. Food was good. My artichoke gratin was excellent but my grilled squid was a bit tough.

The building in which the restaurant is housed is circa 300 years old and exudes charm in the different levels of seating accommodation which includes outdoor space. Although close to a major road there was no intrusive traffic noise. The service and food can only be described as outstanding. For those interested in the archeology of this area the location is virtually across the street from "Free to Access Roman Era - Catacombs"

This is my second time here. I can say that their service, waiting time, selection of food and drink, and well seasoned dishes remain of the same excellent quality as 6 months ago. The experience is wholesome and enjoyment of the meal is guaranteed. Happy to have een hre for a second time and will revisit soon.

This place is what I love about Malta, the building itself is beautiful and the staff are polite and attentive. The food is delicious. We came here on our first night and immediately booked again for Sunday lunch (a day we already decided would be a lazy day centred around a relaxing lunch). It's a real treat to come here.

We recently ate here at the start of May for a late Sunday lunch. We were a large group of 16, and had lovely weather so were accommodated in the attractive garden at the rear. The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside (right on a roundabout), but the dining space at the back is great and it doesn't feel like you're in the thick of things at all.

We immediately received a warm welcome, and the waiting staff went out of their way to make us feel looked after. A few members of our group were a little picky lets say on how rare their steak was cooked, and they took the dish back without hesitation and replaced it swiftly and with a smile.

The food was all fantastic - lots of local dishes alongside more classic Mediterranean cooking. All complimented beautifully with reasonably priced wine. We ended up having a bottle each!

I'm vegetarian also and had a delicious fresh pasta dish - the portion sizes were super generous.

All in all it was a highlight of the trip. I would heartily recommend a visit if you're in the qawra/st pauls bay area.
