This was our second year in Levi and it was, once again, outstanding.
Stayed in a Levikaira cabin again, and would recommend these completely. Further away this time, in Sirkka, but still only 5-10 minutes walk to Zero Point.
Cabin is fantastic and the two free ski passes were so appreciated this year.
There is nothing to criticise about Levikaira set up, so book any that are available but BOOK EARLY as even 2019 is filling up. This year we had some noise from our neighbours but it was New Years Eve so must be expected.
The ONLY problem this year was the change in demographic of the clientele in Levi. Last year, being here before and over Christmas, all was calm and peaceful. This year, we were all made aware of some selfish and pushy Russians, treating people disrespectfully, pushing into queues and allowing their children to do what they wanted unchecked. I know not all Russians are like this, I have spent time in Russia, but the behaviour of some of those we saw was unpleasant. The timing of their visits is owing to the differing school system in Russia, where the schools break up on 26/27th of December. Suffice to say our next trip will be a return to our previous schedule!
However, this did not ruin our holiday and Levi continues to be a very special place.
Love it!
