We stayed over Christmas. It has its plusses and minuses like any hotel but this was just what we needed.

We stayed in a Duplex Apartment close to reception/dining. The room was basic and in need of decoration but it was all we needed. It had a drying cabinet for the wet and icy clothes and a sauna. It had a small kitchen which we didn't really use. The only real down sides are the steep steps to the bedroom area and the room configuration (3 single beds upstairs and close to a double sofa bed downstairs). We like to have a double bed seperate from the kids.

We want half board and also paid for lunch on one day at the hotel. Lapland isnt exactly a place to go for the food but after listening to other people, we felt lucky that our hotel had some very edible food.

Breakfast is your typical buffet consisting of bacon, continental sausages, beans, scrambled egg, fruit, yoghurt porridge, toast, cereal and berry/choc-chip/cinnamon cakes with tea, coffee and fruit juice

Lunch and dinner offer similar buffet food which varies each meal time. On offer are your family favourites like lasagne, stews, nuggets, chips and fish. Alongside those are a variety of vegetables (usually carrots, green beans and potatoes) and a salad bar.

In the evening, this hotel doesn't offer any entertainment (other than at a gala meal if you are with TUI) but it does have a bar and a small toddler play room. We didn't need any entertainment though as a full days activities will wear you out anyway.

Staff are very helpful with whatever you need.

We stayed here for Christmas and had a fabulous time. The guest rooms offer amenities such as a flat screen TV, and guests can go online with free internet access offered by the hotel. Lapland Hotel Sirkantahti features 24 hour front desk, shops, and a supermarket around the corner which takes less than 5 minutes to walk. The property also boasts a sauna and free breakfast in the morning which was buffet style.

The staff were fantastic and very polite indeed. The rooms had everything needed and the cleaning staff did an excellent job each day. The staff work very hard at this hotel.

It is situated in an ideal location, it doesn’t take long at all to get around.

Brilliant holiday. We had a studio that was five minutes max walk to hotel. Breakfast was varied and good. Had a buffet lunch and a 'gala Christmas Dinner' here and food was very good. Lovely resort with little shops and restaurants. Wonderful experience for us all.
