Went to the museum when we visited Pitcairn. It has a lot of contempary stuff about the Bounty and, if that is of interest, this visit is a must do but there is little about the social history of the island.

The Pitcairn Island Museum has some great old photos of Adamstown and the people who lived there.
Carol Warren the curator was really helpful in explaining everything Pitcairn. Cost was onlyNZ $5.
