If you are looking for a nice place.to relax not far away from Stuttgart (especially if you are looking to go to a Fair and you are travelling by car), this is a nice place to stay.
Single room is relatively small, but has everything one may need. For the pools and saunas (yes: plural) there is a bag with a nice towel. Take it, ask for an extra-towel and enjoy the internal or external pool. Take the lift and go up into the panorama sauna. There is another one on the ground floor, as well as a turkish sauna.
Did only stay one night, but will return and spend alittle more time. You may rent a mountain bike and explore the surroundings.
Restaurant looked good, but no time this time....

From the outside at the arrival, the buildings doesn't look very exciting. The inside is different and well renovated. All is of very good quality. The rooms are very cozy with a fresh touch. The closet is made of mountain pine. The smell is extraordinary fine. The Restaurant and the food is highly recommended. You can have fresh black forest trouts from their own estate. The staff is extremely efficient, like nowhere else. There is a wellness part with sauna and steambath only for hotel guest in the upper level. The mineral pools are on the ground level and open for public. The village is very little and nothing special. The area with the nature is makes you curious for little adventure hikes. Overall, the hotel with the Spa has a high quality and service level. We will definitely back, if the rates are ok.

Great spa hotel buried in a narrow valley of the Black Forrest. What we loved about it? 1) The Spa! 5 saunas, 1 indoor pool (about 23m) and another heated, outdoor pool (about 20m), outdoor Jacuzzi, panorama saunas on the top floor overlooking the hills, "fire" bath, and a steam bath. 2) The staff is lovely; and 3) there restaurant serves wonderful southern German specialties from lunch to dinner. There is also a small but decent bar. The The perfect way to escape the cold winter if you don't want to leave Germany!

What could be improved? Wifi was miserable. Barely any access from our room. Breakfast was great with a wonderful variety for European hotels but after 5 days, we were quite tired of scrambled eggs (never thought I'd live to say that!).

Location: in a tiny town with one pizzeria (closed the whole time we were there), and one other rustic, old-timer restaurant. There's also a cute noodle store that sells homemade noodles and candy. But that is pretty much it! The next grocery store is in a neighbouring town 6km away.

Sports: Running is pretty awesome. It was very cold when we were there (-10 degrees C), but it was so beautiful I pretty much ran every route there was within 10km of the village. Lots of uphill runs with lovely views of the surrounding hills and villages. Perfect for hikes too.

This is a quaint hotel in small spa town of middle Black forest. The expectation are thus high.It has 2 wings, an older renovated one and modern one. It has a period atmosphere in the old wing where the spa is.the modern wing has newer rooms and facilities with a nice panorama pool and sauna and warm and cold pools. But the service is rather impersonal and the breakfast lacks warmth too though you may eat in the panoramic wintergarten.
We stayed in the new room.It was spacious and the bathroom was large. The amenities were good.It had a nice terrace of wood outside but with large windows you could be surprised if several guests walked past on the terrace and you were standing in less than appropriate entire viewing the hillside! The terrace unfortunately is a long one common to all hill facing rooms!

Most surprising was that the massage and other spa service cease much earlier than the closing time and ion Sundays they actually take a holiday! You can use the water and gym and sauna of course but no treatments outside limited hours
Another thing to watch out.The cell phone connectivity in the hotel is very poor and the wifi requires cell phone connection to register so you should resolve this at the reception before going to your room

Had a business conference at the hotel recently. The hotel is fantastic. Nice rooms, beautiful setting. Meals are as beautifully served as they taste. Surrounding area is lovely and relaxing. You can sit and relax by the pool or waterfall, sit in the sun, or hike. The town is quaint and friendly. I definitely hope to go back for a relaxing stay without work!
