We had a 2 night stay in Elora to attend a wedding this past weekend (Jan.10/11 2020). The Village Inn exceeded all of our expectations. Peter, the owner, was pleasant and courteous and ensured that our stay was enjoyable. The two storey facility was very clean and newly renovated although the online photos do not do it justice as they have not been updated to reflective the extensive renovations that have been completed.  The newly renovated room looked very nice and with the king bed was spacious and very comfortable and complete with a microwave, TV and small fridge. There is ample free parking and wifi. The location is minutes away from Elora and the local casino.  While there is no onsite restaurant, a variety of eating establishments are within easy walking distance.  The Village Inn was a pleasant find ($) and we certainly would stay there again on a return visit to Elora.

We were pleasantly satisfied with the comfortable, clean, accomodations. Being on the ground floor near the front desk was convenient to parking, . I would return when visiting Elora again.etc. There were nearby eating places such as a family style restaurant aptly called The Gorge. We noticed the traffic on the nearby highway in the early evening but not too noticeable later , to disrupt sleeping. The staff was courteous & friendly.

Room tip: Rooms on the south side quieter. Away from highway traffic in the early evening..

Stayed at the Village Inn for the July 27th weekend. Check in was fast. Clerk was polite. Rooms are older but very clean and well kept. Motel is 5-6 minute, very easy, walk to downtown Elora. Stayed in a first floor room that had a sliding door to outside. This was handy to access my vehicle which was parked directly at the door. Unfortunately, you can lock this door only from the inside, so it was handy for packing and unpacking the car only. There is a high step over the threshold of this door to get outside as there is no patio outside this door.

Free WiFi, which worked great. Shower was a bit slow and towels are minimal, but I'm sure you can ask for extra towels (I didn't). Our room was very well cleaned and made up for for our second night. Only issue I had was that there are picnic tables in the back of the hotel. People from the room next to us went out there to smoke in the early morning (6AM) and were a bit loud. There didn't appear to be a desk clerk after 12PM. Not sure what happens if you need assistance.

This is a low budget motel, but it is well kept and well run. It could use some investment into the grounds just to make them more appealing, but the corridors and rooms are good, albeit a bit older. It is a great choice for anyone looking to save a few dollars.

Favourite moment: when I discovered the pop machine charges $1 per pop.

Room tip: No elevator to second floor that I noticed.

My husband and I stayed for one night ( wish we could stay longer). We were a little leary about this place from the pictures . But when we got there , we found that it has been updated and Extremely clean. The rooms were very clean and new bedding was on the beds. The bath was extremely clean and a good size. The location was awesome. Very short walk to the very cute town. It reminded me of a little Old Quebec City. You can also walk to the Gorge. My husband and I like casinos, and it is less the a 10 min walk to there. They offer coffee at the front desk in the morning . Lots of places to choose from to eat, that is in walking distance. We parked our truck and never had to use it .

Room tip: If you have a problem with stairs , ask for 1st floor ( no elevators)
