Really enjoyed the walk down the beach

There was plenty of people and it was nice to see the area down by the paddling pool busy and open for business.

Still work to be done in keeping the area clean and tidy but it would not stop me from going down there again.

So sad the weather has changed after spending the last few weekends at Aberavon and evening walks watching the sunsets after work during the week. Love it

For decades Aberavon Beach more closely resembled an oil slick with dirty sand and grotty surrounding areas. However, the whole town has been vastly improved with the beach having been cleaned up and the promenade having a lovely face lift. There are plenty of facilities from places to eat, toilets, a paddling pool for the kiddies and a lovely playground. The flora and fauna are also looking lush and verdant. Lots of well placed benches to sit and either look out to sea or at the greenery. Well done NPT council!

We were fourteen walkers plus one dog and were made very welcome. The food was good and we had a long table so that we could all eat together
