Extremely popular tourists attraction can be reached only by boat. Inside this natural wonder you can experience particular spectacle of colours: rays of sunlight mirroring seawater showing numerous shades of blue giving amazing impression.

We were picked up from our Apartment in Kotor bay by speedboat and there were two other couples aboard. We were taken out of the Bay and into the open sea that was very choppy but was great fun. We were taken first to the blue grotto, the boat went inside where there were already quite a few other boats, the colour of the water was incredible, after a ten minute swim the boat moved around the coast to the old submarine caves that were used in the Second World War... these were great to experience but felt a little eery. We then went back towards Perast to the island of the lady of stones... this was very quaint and spent around twenty minutes here before heading back to Kotor bay where again we were dropped outside our hotel jetty.

There are a multitude of boat services offering to take you out to the Blue Grotto, so it doesn't really matter which one you pick. It's a relatively short boat ride to the most amazing natural cave where you can swim in crystal clear blue water while inside the cave. Well worth a trip.

A good experience to have swim through the blue grotto. Went on a speed boat from Kotor to this place and was great to swim there and see the Kotor bay on the way.
