We spent a night at the Guest House Tatiyany in Cholpon Ata last August near the end of our summer in the region. The place is centrally located, modern and clean, the rooms were spacious, well appointed and quiet, the sleep we got was decent enough and the breakfast was good for what we needed first thing in the morning. The service was great, very welcoming and they did everything she could to make us comfortable and to enjoy our stay which we did.

This GH is well located in the main street of Cholpon Ata - a small town on the north shore of Issyk Kul lake. From here, it is so easy to take buses to Bishkek or Karakol.
So comfortable and warm rooms with good view to a small quiet flowered garden, the room price was also reasonable. The hostess - a Kazakh woman was so open and hospitable. We stayed there 2 nights before getting to Karakol and 1 night on the way back from Karakol to Bishkek.
The only dissatisfaction was the dinner, it was so hard to eat such a cold spaghetti in a very cold everning.
We were saved by Tatiyana Nikolaevna when we arrived to Cholpon Ata before the season has begun and most of the hotels and BnBs were still closed. We got a comfortable and clean room at a good price in central location.
A great place to stay in for a couple of nights. We paid 5 pounds (per person) for a night in an ensuite room with a TV, fridge, kettle and a heater (quite needed at in still chilly April).
To make a booking we communicated by email in English with a lady (not the owner) who agreed for us not to pay a deposit before arriving—quite helpful as none of the payments methods were convenient for international cards. We arrived quite late. but the room was ready for us and the staff was not bothered by our late show up and 0 ability to speak Russian.
