Booked this hotel as a special trip for my husband who was born in El Salvador, and hadn’t been back in decades. Unfortunately, one person in our family tested positive for Covid the day before we were supposed to stay at Boca Olas, so I had to cancel. I tried contacting the hotel many times to see if I could get a credit, if not a refund, for the stay but no one ever responded. Even the third party vendor who I booked through tried contacting them with no response! Their website was down and there was no email address listed online. Very disappointing, especially during these times when travelers are eager to support small businesses and the travel industry, but need some flexibility as we navigate the world post-pandemic.
