Great ambience, 2 lovely pools, the beach is very close and a good restaurant on site. But best of all, the room was very comfortable and I had the best sleep I’d had in days. It’s a family owned place and lovingly cared for. Staff very attentive and helpful.

Dont even bother coming here!! Over price suites without a ocean view and rather small not even a path to the ocean just some dirty water muddie looking on the side of the hotel . The beach is full of rocks!!! it is only good to look at it only people are rude and over price drinks Look for something else i was sorry i stay in this Place
Excellent service from staff. The food was delicious. Very clean and well kept all around. Room was spacious and modern. Will be coming back! We stayed 3 nights. Walking distance to the beach and nearby Tunco restaurants and shops.
Booked this hotel as a special trip for my husband who was born in El Salvador, and hadn’t been back in decades. Unfortunately, one person in our family tested positive for Covid the day before we were supposed to stay at Boca Olas, so I had to cancel. I tried contacting the hotel many times to see if I could get a credit, if not a refund, for the stay but no one ever responded. Even the third party vendor who I booked through tried contacting them with no response! Their website was down and there was no email address listed online. Very disappointing, especially during these times when travelers are eager to support small businesses and the travel industry, but need some flexibility as we navigate the world post-pandemic.
The facility is very nice, staff are pleasant, pools a great especially the swim up bar was fantastic. Everything was fine and would have gotten a higher rating except on checking out they check every room all eight and came up one towel short that they charged $10 for. Very petty when you spend over $3,000 in one day. Shame on you.
Boca Olas is a nice quiet resort which seems a bit unusual for El tunco. The grounds are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves good food in a nice open air ambience overlooking the Rio Grande. The only reason I did not give Boca Olas five stars is that the suite I booked was a regular hotel room with a little table outside. There was not my idea of a suite. The room was nice but I feel the use of the term suite is misleading. That aside I liked Boca Olas.
