If you want to get away from it all this is the place for you but beware the entrance driveway is precarious and not for the inexperienced driver! Once at the top in the small car park you can admire the wondrous views. This hotel has top quality rooms and our suite had an amazing terrace with views to die for. Madame is very efficient and serves the most wonderful breakfast (although a bit pricy at 18€ each|) on the upper terrace. There are 2 pools, one is heated and it is the most beautiful experience bathing listening to the cuckoo singing and the world going by many metres below... There is a good restaurant here too but the charcuterie starter is highly salted. Altogether this has been an amazing break and we have enjoyed every minute!

we have been to Corsica driving our motorbike every August for the last 11 years. this hotel is situated perfectly in the village of Lama , which is close to the beautiful north western coast of Calvi , not far also from the town of Corte with some stunning valleys and rivers nearby .
The first contact with the lady of the house was ,as it always seems to be between foreigners and French people , a little stiff , but ,again as usual, the interaction with the elegant woman proved to be very nice and satisfying and so we enjoyed our stay also on a personal level .
The architecture of the different houses that are part of the hotel is simply stunning , part of it seems organically grown over many years but as a matter of fact it was built from scratch only seven years ago.
The view and the privacy of your terrace and the two pools is as good as it gets .
breakfast is perfect and you need time to really enjoy the beautiful setting
and the good food .
one night we had dinner at the restaurant which was also exceptionally good .
The room we had offered everything you need and as I said before the privacy of the terrace this something you don't find often , especially considering the view you have over mountains ,the valley until the Mediterranean Sea.
this hotel offers you a very relaxing and romantic stay and we will surely come back to it.

This beautiful hotel sits atop the sweet, medieval village of Lama in the Balagne. The hotel itself is fashioned out of stacked stone, has two amazing pools built into the natural rock face, and offers incredible views of the Corsican mountains all the way to the stunning Mediterranean. The village sits halfway between the more touristy centers of Calvi and Bastia making it an excellent romantic retreat with easy access to both coasts. The rooms are ample, simply appointed with modern bathrooms and amazing terraces. Our terrace was completely private and excellent for private sunbathing, watching the incredible sunsets or stargazing (we did all of those!). If I had to critique anything, the bed was a little too firm for my preference and the breakfast was a bit pricey although not out of line with the food prices we experienced all over the island which were a bit high. The food choices are somewhat limited in the village, with the hotel restaurant being one of three available. All offered basic but good food choices. Overall we had a lovely time and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a private terrace.
