Owner description: Lizzy opened the award winning farm shop in her little larder in 2002. The business has steadily grown and her new shop at Blackberry Farm is surrounded by farmland and has stunning views of Dartmoor. We also conduct farm tours. Lizzy is passionate about food and together with Gillian they cook much of the delicious fayre served in the tearoom and sold in the shop.

This place was advertised and as we were local decided to visit but sadly we were very disappointed. As animals lovers we were very excited to see the farm animals but they looked awful, then on entering the shop/cafe we changed our minds to eat when we saw a dog was roaming around whilst uncovered food was at its height.

Due to a major diversion in Bideford our route took us through the rolling hills of Devon and saw a sign for a farm shop cafe, we decided to stop for a break.

Very welcoming, we had a cream tea for two, each person having one large scone. One had plain, another fruit and a large pot of tea. The other ginger scone with the option of butter or clotted cream and rhubarb and ginger jam and coffee

If ever in area again would pop in....suggestion add a little stem ginger to the scone

There were gluten free options available.

The menu offered a variety of things including soup.

Visited with grandchildren who had a great time getting muddy and visiting the farm.
An informative visit along with the traditional farm shop and a lovely walk around the local footpaths made it a wonderful experience.
Shop well staffed and the food we purchased was also very good.

Situated just off the main road, it does not look v impressive from the outside esp in pouring rain walking thru a car park full of potholes and it also looks a bit tacky inside BUT great service and friendly staff with super food. We visited for afternoon tea, breakfast and bought pasties (stuffed with meat) as take-away, large menu, v good quality and quantity of food especially the breakfasts.
We would revisit and recommend
