After some years we had a summer holiday in winter. Zanzibar has been on my husband's bucketlist. The hotel and the beach was beautiful, the staff kind, polite, speaking quite good English and some sentences in differenct languages as well. There was wide choice of food as well as programs. We had 10 wonderful days there. Would love to return!

I'm not so fond of all- inclusive but on Zanzibar it is as it is. And Neptun Pwani was better than I had expected. Several restaurants with good variation and different styles made it perfectly okay. There were also a lot of space so even though there were a lot of people staying there, it did not feel crowded. Of course some problems with sun-bed occupation but there were enough beds for everybody so really no need. Poor people -feal sorry for them.. The rooms were big and clean and staff was friendly. The SPA was also very good and had a really nice view. Recommended.

We have stayed in this resort for one week between 17 & 24 February 2017 all inclusive booking . The lay-out concept of the entire resort is very charming , well maintained gardens , bungalow type buildings limited to six rooms , African style architect all around . Very friendly staff at reception on arrival , service minded staff at restaurants and bars , room and bathroom daily well maintained and both beds with mosquito nets protection .The resort is located on a beachfront with quite a lot af shadow plants and trees to position your relaxing bed under constant shadow if you like it , plenty of place for everyone to enjoy .
White sand beach is very attractive and you can make walks as long as you want , especially walking into the sea at low water tide in order to discover sea live is great Our advise , select only one local guide no more ( they expect some fees ) and most welcome as well don't forget water shoes due to touching some coral rif rocks etc. We selected guide CHIRO , who is cultivating sea weet near the resort and he invited us to meet his family including a walking tour in the village which is about 20 minutes from the resort beach .
Location and distance between the children's pool and the adults pool is very good designed , no claims what so ever due to behavior of the children etc.
Restaurant and food are good but we had expected some more differences at the salad bar at lunch and diner time . We should advise the chef to investigate the possibility offering daily at diner time a kind of theme event more extended such as real French , Italian , Asia , African , seafood etc. We refer to our stay at Mélia - Gabi beach resort not far away at Kiwengwa . One special reward with regard to the desserts offered in glasses , daily very delicious even so pine-apple fruit .
The bar service next and along the adults pool is very great , even so on the beach by the waiters , no complaints at all very good service .Before departure the holiday visitors are allowed to take a free shower in the SPA building which is very appreciated due to warm weather all day .
Setting up diner buffet one night around the restaurant pool was very well organized . Entertainment one time better than another evening , acrobatic performance was outstanding , Massai dancers poor to us , better on site on safari's .
Overall conclusion : expectations full filled and general rating as very good ,special reward to security people along the resort beach wall , keeping away the local sellers with their products .

Room tip: standard rooms are on the rockside hill side with 55 stairs to climbed away from the sea

Given that we go to luxury "all inclusive resorts" in the Caribbean, this resort is not luxurious. It is nice, service is good and the food is good too. The staff do aim to please. It is a long ways from the airport and a long way from Stone town. It is a nice get a away! It is way too pricey, for what you get, needs a lot of updating.

Many thanks for letting us know your experiences. We have forwarded your correspondence to the relevant departments. However, we did not find you on our guest lists. Also your comments are not in line with the reality of the resort. The airport is only 40 minutes driving from the airport and Stone Town and the resort is constantly updated. Compared to the Caribbean, you have plenty of space on the beach, 2 large swimming pools and a choice of 6 restaurants for only 154 rooms. In the Caribbean hotels have 1000 to 3000 rooms per resort and the prices are much more expensive.
We look very much forward to welcome you again in one of our Beach Resorts or Safari Lodges.
Yours faithfully,
The Neptune Team
