Went here for a Friday Happy Hour. Had a really good Manhattan and sushi. Definitely would recommend the Happy Hour if you’re looking for a good deal.

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Grace’s Mandarin. It was our first time. We intend to return.

The restaurant is large but quite impressive. We had a window table looking down on the Potomac River. Much of the furniture and decorations, statues, etc. come from China. The noise was tolerable and the tables comfortably apart.

The menu is extensive. It includes sushi, small plates, appetizers and soups and a variety of entrees, including a gluten free page.
Our appetizers were vegetarian egg rolls and the small plate of lamb chops. One bite of the lamb chops had us looking at each other: the best we’d ever had. The egg rolls were good.
My main entree was the organic Mandarin chicken with tiny Brussels sprouts, squash and string beans. The seasoning was lightly spicy and flavorful. The chicken was melt in your mouth delicious. My wife had beef with spring onions; also highly satisfying. The side of sautéed zucchini was flavorful and al dente.
The “Drunkin’ Pumpkin” cheesecake for dessert was just as cheesecake should be.
Highly recommended!

The decor here is pretty striking, though it is stuffed to the gills which can make it crowded in certain high traffic areas. Very attractive indeed though.

The prices are certainly inflated relative to serving sizes. You’ll get similar food, in larger quantities, for less money elsewhere in certain instances, particularly noodle/rice dishes. In general however the food is interesting and very good, sushi is good as well.

Absolutely must sit upstairs however to really have the most enjoyable experience. Typically this would mean you will need to make a reservation. Walk ins are seated downstairs near the bar where the atmosphere and service suffer greatly. To keep it brief, if I had to sit downstairs, I would eat elsewhere.

Upstairs however is an entirely different endeavor and is very pleasant with a few nice touches from the staff as part of their service.

When staying at the Gaylord for the Ice show, we walked right across the street to Grace's Mandarin for dinner. There was a short wait, we were seated quickly on the second floor, our server brought hot towels almost immediately, and the service that followed throughout the night was great. The ambiance was beautifully festive, and the seating felt intimate and was really comfortable. Everyone in our group, including two little kids, loved everything we ordered. The crab rangoons were exceptional, the spring rolls and dumplings were fantastic, the mandarin chicken and chicken with asparagus dishes were amazing. Dessert was wow. It's pricey, but the dining experience here makes it worth it.
