This is an old convent beautifully restored to a high standard for discerning guests. In a tranquil hillside location near Massa Martana, in Umbria. The ambiance is very relaxing, and there’s plenty of parking. The access road is a bit of a challenge, as are many ‘white roads’ in the region. On arrival, it is obvious that there is a treat in store. I had lunch with friends, and although we waited a while, it was all freshly cooked so worth the wait. The menu is a little different from usual, but in a good way.
There is a large conservatory, and there are often events taking place, so a booking is a good idea. I haven’t seen the rooms but judging from the rest of the decor I’m sure they are lovely.
Only one little niggle, the staff were not very welcoming.

Everything was just wonderful during our stay. The place is located twenty minutes from Todi, in a beautiful countryside, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and sunflowers. Staff’s kindness and facilities made everything perfect.

You can enjoy histrical country side atomosphere in the hotel. This place used to be
Monastery. Very quiet environment. From the garden, you can see beautiful mountains.
There is restaurant inside the hotel. Food was very good.

My husband and I stayed at San Pietro for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful experience.
The property itself is stunning, the location is breath taking, the grounds are beautiful, the service is impeccable, the food is amazing and our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Upon our arrival, we were personally welcomed by the Director who gave us a tour of the property and told us all about the fascinating history of the place and helped us to appreciate the impressive work that has been done here. San Pietro is a historic property that has been restored sympathetically and to an extremely high standard. It has all the modern comforts without compromising its character and old world charm.
I would recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for a quiet and laid back holiday. This really is the perfect place to relax, we loved the peaceful surroundings and enjoyed the fabulous pool. We wish we had time to try the spa, which looked awesome!
San Pietro is also a romantic wedding venue with everything required for the perfect destination wedding, a consecrated church for a religious ceremony, so many location options for a civil ceremony, a rose garden, a courtyard, a beautiful banqueting hall, a terrace and so much more. Not to talk of an abundance of spots for brilliant photo opportunities.
We loved San Pietro so much and we would like to thank Diego, Christina and all the staff at the hotel for taking such good care of us, making our stay so memorable and our anniversary so special.
We will be back!!
