Great hotel, great spot for the kite surfing, beautiful beach for walking.
Some undressed persons that you can cross while walking - respect them or get together with them.
If not, take a rest in a beach bar for a glass of water or stronger.

First the good bits! The amazing beach! Walking for miles along a totally unspoilt natural beach with awesome backdrop. Excellent wind and kite surfing.
The adults only bar in the evening by reception with great chilled music and comfortable seats. Most staff. The surprise sparkling wine and chocolates in our room for a birthday! Plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast was very good. lunch by the pool also very good. AI drinks are good in general.
Tennis court (though difficult when windy), and the paddle tennis court!
Pool is good though much of the stonework around it is crumbling!
The bad bits....Not many really but having stayed at other Meliá resorts AI, this was substandard in comparison. Evening buffet was poor and monotonous which let things down. We decided to drive out one night to find somewhere else even though we had paid for AI.
Having tea in polystyrene cups!
There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms! There were in previous Melia resorts we have stayed. However, the staff were excellent and did find us a kettle!
We had our daughter with us in our room so the bed settee was set up. This was extremely uncomfortable and a second nattress needed to be added which didn’t fit so not ideal!

So on the whole just about adequate but 3 star level max!
We are staying in two Melia hotels in Cuba later this year so now have fingers crossed over how we will find them!!!

Dear David,

Firstly we would like to thank you for choosing our Meliá Fuerteventura for your holidays and sharing your experience in our Hotel.

Reading your review, we are very happy to know that you have felt satisfied with overall experience. However, we are very disappointed reading your comments about some details.

We would like to explain you that it is not allow serve any drinks on glass containers by the pool or closer in order to avoid to be broken and the chance that any guest can cut with the pieces. That is the reason we may serve drinks in polystyrene but only in snack/pool bar.

For the other side, we are always happy to listen our guests and we would like to inform you that we have already shared your point of view about the room facilities and comfort or our dinner buffet. We know that there is always a room for improvements and our guest´s feedback helps us to identify our weakness.

Once again, thank you very much for your recent stay and we wish you a wonderful stay in Meliá Hotels in Cuba.

Sincerest regards,

Gex Team
