We went for a Sunday drive in August and had a wander around Amberley, calling in to the tea room around 4pm. We fancied the cream tea so ordered a couple of plain scones and they came with the little pot of jam and generous clotted cream. The scones were slightly disappointing - rather dry - perhaps it was because it was the end of the day and I think we did hear the waitress tell another table afterwards that they were out of plain scones, so we were probably unlucky. Would be happy to give the place another go as the courtyard is charming and is a little sun trap. My fiancee also really enjoyed her hot chocolate. Might try a slice of cake next time given previous reviews!

Lovely little tea room full of character. Look around at the creative little details. Also Amberley village well worth a good look around at the thatched houses - full of character and charm.

Nice little tearoom with pleasant courtyard garden. Good selection of teas & homemade cakes - but beware, the cake slices are enormous & could easily be shared by 2 people. Very friendly service.

This tea shop is tucked away on a side road on the way into Amberley Village, which is worth visiting in it's own right on a walk around the area, on the Downs or along the river. It's very homely, the service is friendly and unassuming and the scones are good quality. It would be nice to see a few other simple things on the menu but it is a good Tea Room!
