We went for Sunday lunch. The menu was simple pub grub and well cooked. The service was a bit slow with possibly 3 front of house staff, and two large parties to cater for. Decor is a bit dated but the carpets and furniture were clean and the conveniences as well.
A nice selection of beers.
Not for gourmet lovers, but better than average fare & good atmosphere.

Stayed one night as were visiting family in the area. We were made to feel very welcome. Ended up eating at the restaurant twice while we were there and the food was excellent. Comfortable room and friendly staff, proper country inn atmosphere, would highly recommend.

Pleasant and friendly pub with good service.
The food was very average though with the pork shank in cider being a bit on the bland side and the ploughman's lunch literally just cheese, ham and two slices of bog standard white bread!
The beer also seemed a bit 'tired' when we visited

Just spent 3 nights B/B here, very old fashioned family run country pub, very friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. Will stay again when next in area. They do not do a full English breakfast but a continental type in your room I found this no problem at all.

Room Tip: Bar closes 11pm but I was not disturbed by noise at all.

This place is in serious need of an update. The carpets didn't look like they had been vacuumed. All of the furniture looks like it has been there since the 1970's. The shower and tiling needed a good scrub with some bleach. Breakfast consisted of 5 or so packets of cereal, with milk and orange juice in a fridge in your room! Would I visit again, I very much doubt it.
