My family and I were able to enjoy this fine dining experience. Once as a tasting menu and once on our wedding night. The food is of highest standard and quality and cooked to perfection by a top chef.

The restaurant itself is stunning with very unique and top of the world features such as a large window where the guests can see what goes on in the kitchen and watch the chef and his team create magic.

Another highlight is a very large wooden table which is used as decoration, a fireplace and all the detailed decorations which changes depending on the season/occassion. I also love how each table has little stools for the ladies handbag so we don't need to leave it on the floor. All the staff members are extremely friendly and speak multiple languages.

Cooking courses are also available for food lovers. My family and friends had the privilege to cook with the chef and then eat the food. This was a great experience in a stunning location!

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone staying at I Tre Baroni or even just passing by. It is worth a visit and it will exceed your expectation.

We ate here two nights while staying at I Tre Baroni. On the first night, we had the 45 euro tasting menu and we ordered a la carte the second night. All the food was delicious. The produce was all high quality. The dishes nearly all had multiple components. Sometimes this can be very contrived and just annoying. But each plate we ate worked well as a whole. For me, highlights included a chick pea and shrimp soup (the shrimps were wonderful), an appetizer of the local pork (it was only a couple bites of meat but those were great) and the excellent tender and flavorful venison. Considering the labor-intensive nature of the food, it was good value. With the tasting menu, we were also offered a glass of prosecco to start along with a few small tastes the chef has prepared that day. Even ordering a smaller meal from the a la carte menu, we were offered some chef's appetizers. The service was well informed about the food and they were happy to let us share plates when we ordered a la carte. All in all, excellent meal with interesting and tasty food.
My only criticism is that, as a restaurant in a hotel where people might be staying for quite a long time, I think they would do well to add a menu section of simpler, more casual food - hence 4 stars instead of 5. Maybe they will accommodate if you ask or will serve simpler food on the terraces. Obviously there is a lot of effort to make this an excellent place for fine dining so my suggestion might be completely against what they want to be. But it is a hotel in a very small town with limited other options (the one restaurant in town was not open for dinner while we were there).
The room is lovely, very subdued and relaxing. The tableware may have been designed specifically for Mater because it is very complimentary for the different innovative servings of the chefs.

I stayed for one night at the "Borgo I Tre Baroni" which this restaurant is part of. And what a pleasant surprise to find such an exquisite restaurant! The space is clean, open and created with an eye for design. A big window allows uninhibited views of the chefs working in the modern kitchen. The waiter was attentive and helpful. I took the set menu and was served one plate after another of excellent and sophisticated dishes - simply a dream.
