Always good. I think it was better when it was smaller but still excellent. Advise booking peak times. Some of the chicken on the bone tandoori dishes are simply amazing. Staff always friendly.

We recently visited Sonargaon in West Wickham for a set meal and to listen to a local singer Aiden Kent. The price was £35 for a 5 course meal and entertainment. Although the meal was very nice it was a con because the five courses consisted of
1. popadom and pickle 2. starter 3. meat/fish curry 4. vegetable dish 5. rice/nann bread
we could have purchased the same food for under £25 each at normal menu prices. I expected a five course meal to include desert and coffee when the bill came we were charged for the deserts lucky we didn't want coffee!! Not only did the restaurant overcharge for the food but had the cheek to add a service charge as well. The restaurant was completely full that night because of the singer and up until the bill came we had had a great evening however being ripped off left a bad taste in my mouth and I wont be returning or recommending Sonaron

We are sorry for any inconvience this may have caused you. We have been doing music nights for about 5+ years and the menu is always the same throughout the years. We have not had any complaints in regards to the pricing of the set menus during this time and in all fairness our pricing is cheaper than the local restuarants.
Thank you for taking the time to review Sonargaon and hope our reply has been beneficial.

Loved the flavours in the food. Some dishes seemed a little overseasoned / too salty. My mum has also been without me and got undercooked food with her friends. I would recommend having a try as it does taste good.

Went with another couple on the spur of the moment one tuesday evening. We didnt book as we thought mid week would be fine. I had past the restaurant several times and was glad of the opportunity to visit.
This restaurant is large and light with a contemporary design and subtle changing colour lighting. Not the usual decor at some older Indian restaurants.
We were surprised to find many people dining but we were shown to a table quickly and the service is fabulous. The waiting staff are very intentive and we enjoyed some banter with them before our meal. The food was delicious and beautifully cooked. The portions are large and delivered hot. All in all a great evening and we are looking forward to dining here in the future.

We dined here just to see what it was like. To be frank it wasn't the very best dining experience we have enjoyed, as the enlarged restaurant (refurbished a few years ago) now lacked the cosy feel that smaller establishments enjoy, and the noise generated with such a large open dining area makes it somewhat less enjoyable. However, the food was well cooked, and served with a smile. Would we visit again? possibly not, and there are many other Curry houses around locally which make the dining out experience more "friendly"
