Fancied a nice drive in lovely scenery with the incentive of a delicious ice cream. Been buying their ice cream for years from various outlets. Perfect spot, lovely people, yummy ice cream. They have lots of plans to make it more of an attraction. Will recommend!

Such a lovely place for little ones. Plenty to keep them occupied without it being overwhelming. And such lovely kind friendly staff too. The whole place had such a nice atmosphere for little ones to have some outdoor fun. And tasty ice cream too. Glad to have found it, and looking forward to returning for pumpkin festival.

Well this might be Nidderdale's best kept secret! Hardly "side of the road", the drive down is quite steep and rutted - watch your step as dry shale is easy to slip on! We actually came to do the Maize Maze and I think this aspect warrants a separate listing on Tripadvisor really.
So we made it to the car park - open field, could be interesting for those of us without a 4X4 in wet weather - and having established that card payments were only taken in the café headed on up there.
Currently there is only one toilet on site - I understand that this is due to change in the next couple of weeks when the new café/restaurant opens. This is currently under construction in the farmyard and will be open 7 days a week all year for breakfast onwards. Great stuff, will be back to sample this!
The café at the moment is small and restricted to paninis and pizzas, sausage rolls and assorted cakes. No doubt this will change. It all looked extremely clean and tidy.
Paid for MM and assorted bouncy castles, plus an ice cream and ice lolly. My youngest said that the ice cream was amazing and I have to admit being tempted by the flavours on offer, particularly the elderberry ripple - what a lovely seasonal touch!
We headed down the field, greeting ponies, piglets and calves along the way. I have to say this is one of the best set ups of this type that I have been to. Simple outdoor fun. The woodland trail was a bit short but the kids enjoyed it. The maze was also great fun and we will have to return as we only found 4 of the ten dinosaur eggs!
Your entry fee gets the kids a chance to handle guinea pigs and a ride on the crazy caterpillar - old oil drums converted to cars pulled in a train by a quad bike! Crazy!
This was such a lovely afternoon, everything about it was great from seeing the cheeky escapologist piglets tearing through the maize(!) to building dens in the woods and driving go karts. All topped off with another ice cream....
All the staff we encountered were very welcoming and friendly, happy to chat about the animals and plans for the future even though it was busy.
Thanks for a lovely time, we left tired but happy. Can't wait for the pumpkin festival!

We are more interested in eating ice cream than watching animals - and were delighted to find this farm cafe by the side of the road. We chose paninis and coffee which we ate outside. Then followed up with a couple of double scoops of fantastic ice cream.

Definitely a place to re-visit next time we are in the area.
