We were very happy with our room,it was on the 3rd floor with a good size balcony overlooking the ocean with fabulous views. The room had been refurbished, very clean, modern & comfortable.Even though our room faced the busy main road we had no problem with noise as the doors were double glazed with shutters. The staff were helpful & friendly, the breakfast was served at the cafe next door & was sufficent enough. The Hotel is so central to walk everywhere,we enjoyed our stay there very much.

Very convenient location - beach across the street, Rome - 40 min by train (trainstation 5 min.walk from the hotel). Rooms are really smalll (at least our was, no balcony) and simple. Nowhere to dry swimming suits and beach towels.
Old fashioned furnisher, strange pictures on the wall.
Staff was not very friendly, hardly spoke any English. Breakfast was served in the room
with no AC, plastic chairs +tables, plastric table clothes!!... One bottle 1,5 l of mineral water, warm, sitting on the "buffet table" + plastic cups, coffe + warm milk, cornflakes, yogurt, amazingly thin slices of white bread and every morning the same plate for each guest (2 small jars of fluir jam, 1 small nutella box, 1 piece of butter, 1 "cornetto" (sweet croiassant), 2 pcs of dried bread) served by evidently boared waiter.
Rome and nice beaches together with great weather and the fact that we spent most of our time out made us "taking it easy". Just not what we would have axpected for 100 Euro / night+breakfast... We definetelly are not high maintanance but know even nicer hostels in Italy, England,... from the times we were backpacking...

We arrived off an early flight at 7am. We were shown where to leave our luggage and invited to have coffee and breakfast in the bar/cafe. Though we were not officially hotel guests at that point, we were not charged for this. The coffee, I have to say, was the best I've ever tasted. Our room was ready an hour later...where in the world is a room ever ready until mid-afternoon? The staff was most accomodating, gave us clear directions, in English, to the station, and we were in Rome within a very short time. (It was interesting to travel with local commuters into Rome every day . It added to our Italian experience.) We stayed at the Ping Pong for 5 days and found it perfectly adequate; though small, our room was clean, and the bathroom looked recently renovated. Our view of the sea and the coast from that roof-top room was wonderful . For anyone looking for comfortable, unpretentious accomodation at a reasonable cost, this is the place. We will certainly go again.

After a fabulous touring holiday through Italy we thought we would spend four days near the beach and near the airport before our long flight back home to NZ. The hotel stinks of ciggy smoke there is no fridge no kettle in the room and you get breakfast in the cafe which is attached to the hotel ..but the cafe is closed on mondays so u go without. The staff are misrable and almost snarl at you as u approach reception. I think this hotel should be classed as a hostel its absoloutly crap.....Do yourself a favour and spend a few more dollars and stay elswhere.
