Shower was broken and water sprayed all over bathroom making floors slippery and dangerous. Air conditioning did not work and neither did the hair dryer that was hanging on bathroom wall by two wires, a safety hazard. Breakfast room did not appear clean. On the positive side, the staff was so nice, sweet and helpful.

I split a room with a girl friend and it came out to 140€ a head. That included two dinners, two breakfasts, spa entry, a drink at the discoteca and entry to the museum of covadonga. Another friend hyped up the place to me but I wasn't very impressed.

I didn't want to use the spa areas due to personal reasons but my friends really enjoyed it. Don't be like me and expect some lounge beds/chairs to lay out; you're either in the water or not.

The massage was not worth it for me. I hate being shorted and my masseuse short me at least ten minutes. I was recommended the back massage after requesting a hard one with pressure, which ended up being basically a rub down. Be aware that IVA is not included in the price - this surprised me and my two girlfriends. Soo I pretty much got hustled about $70 for a rub down that wasn't even enjoyable.

My friends and I left feeling pretty irritated cus of the payment issue. I was more irritated cus I specifically asked to charge my credit card in euros which the receptionist assured that she did. However, that was not the case soo I ended up paying almost $20 more cus of the merchant's exchange rate. Boo.

Come for the deal mentioned up top but that's it.

We wanted to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary in luxury and booked this hotel (this was part of our camping roadstrip through Northern Spain)
We were attracted by the combination with SPA and the pictures which looked very pittoresque.

In reality, we were a bit disappointed.. We had different expectations from the surroundings of the hotel. In fact, it was situated along a busy road, had a big parking lot and it was not possible to do some relaxed chilling outside in a garden or so or to easily explore its surroundings by foot.

Also we had higher expectations from the Spa. We found the spa as well as the massages limited and overpriced.

Friendly service but make sure you speak some Spanish :) Breakfast is extensive and good. The hotel building itself is charming as was our hotel room.

Having lunch in the Sidreria across the street is highly recommended.

Room Tip: The best rooms are at the back of the building.

I wasn't impressed by the fact that the hat is needed for the spa, I booked the room from Booking.com and there is not information about that. The result was a 9€ overcharge. If your room is in the first floor, it could be a bit noisy ( the lifts for the gym and spa are located in that floor).

I'm not sure if it's a good value.

Had a really nice time here.staff were friendly,some spoke English,(quite rare in Astudias)rooms were very clean and of a decent size,the bathroom was a decent size with everything provided.just a short walk across the road to some bars and restaurants,all serving typical local cuisine,
The spa was nice and enjoyed.(didn't like wearing the hat they provided though.lol.)
