I stayed three nights in Hotel Il Pinguino. The location is quiet but rather far from the centre of Pescassèroli (it looks close on google maps, but as it's quite uphill, it's not possible to reach this property by the main road). The best way to get there is by car. The first night I stayed in a spacious room with a mountain view. The room was great and I was very pleased staying there. The second night, a family with a baby was staying in the room next to mine. As the baby didn't stop crying I asked for another room around midnight (I was there on a hiking trip so I definitely needed to rest!). I got a small room in the back, which smelled of paint and was very hot. I was quite disappointed having to stay in this room for another two nights, but the prospect of being kept awake by the baby wasn't any better. Both rooms I stayed in had a very small bathroom - the shower cabin was too narrow. The bathroom in the freshly painted room was a little better than the one in the spacious room. Breakfast was OK, though pastries weren't very fresh (on Sunday the bread was quite hard, I assumed that they don't have fresh bread every day) and there wasn't any fresh fruit available. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free wifi only available in the public area, very poor wifi signal in the rooms. I'd recommend staying here for people who have a car, but keep in mind that the walls are quite thin and that noisy neighbours could be a problem.
