Best Guesthouse Ever

I discovered Leena's on someone's blog post about a visa run from Thailand to Laos. I've been there twice for periods of a week or so. The last time I went, I found myself staying in Savannakhet simply because Leena's was such a nice place to stay.

For 50k Kip, I got a single fan room with big bed and attached bathroom Everything is clean and freshly painted. They'll even change your sheets every day if you ask. You get a towel, soap, and bottle of water, too. There are several buildings in the compound, and a variety of rooms in terms of size/#of people and fan versus aircon.

There's a pavillion/dining area. I've only bought breakfast there myself and it was adequate and reasonable in price (a bit more than the cheapest restaurants, but not exhorbinant by any means). There is wifi. Alas, like most wifi, it s marginal in quality. Likely, you will have to go to the courtyard or pavillion to get much of a signal, although when the wind was right, I could get a signal in my room.

I was there from 1st to 3rd of May 2017 with my Thai wife and we both liked the place.

We had an air-con room with Wifi for 100,000 Kip ( around 440 baht) for two nights. The

place is very clean and the location pretty good. They also offer rooms with fan but the heat was unbelievable

It's quite and not too far away from the center of the city.

The only negative part was the TV. Only channels nobody really wants to watch and not even one movie channel in English.

. .

Room tip: I'd go for a room with air conditioning.

Situated in a peaceful location, not close from the street. Room was very clean and comes with good AC and wifi. Staff is nice but breakfast is relatively poor (not included so you still can choose to go somewhere else). Perfect for a short stay.

Cheap accommodation for 320 Baht a night with AC. The staff are nice and friendly. The location is peaceful. Food was a little bit pricey though and no wifi inside the rooms. Overall, if you want a cheap place to crash for a night, then this is the place.

I was miserable throughout my whole stay due to AC not getting he room cold. The AC is right above a window that lets all the cold air or and hot air in. I was miserable and hot the whole time, right during the hot season. Around dinner time, I wanted to get dinner at the hotel restaurant, but no one came to help me. Everyone working just kind of stared at me, not even giving me an explanation as to if the restaurant was opened or closed. And no matter me spoke English so I tried to ask but it was pointless. The room is clean enough, and the wifi is ok, but for a 500 baht room I would expect working AC. It's worth it to spend a little bit more at a nicer hotel. Especially if you're just here for a visa trip and want to spend a comfortable night in your hotel.

Ok, 460 baht..... A/C unit isn't big enough for the room, the wifi is slowwww, but it's clean n friendly. If there were a fan to assist the A/C it'd be bearable, god knows how I'm gonna sleep tonight. On a plus note, there's small shops and local restaurants just up the road.
