if you ever want to go to the village Sepon in Laos, to see a war museum or other things, then be aware of, here is nothing special, a lot of open marked places small shops, and nearly all is having the same sortiment. its a poor village, and in this area its normal to see children herding the livestock instead of being to school. if You google Laos you will see some numbers here, where you will think, its a forgotten country. the hotel/guesthouse is fairly clean in respect to where you are, the kitchen is closed due to nearly no guests, power is on/of or of/on, it do have AC in the rooms, the building is nice but it is very clear its a hotel/guest house where people just drop in for 1 nights sleep and then of again. a lot of free parking, here is an elevator but not working, no need to repair not enough guests, for disabled there is access to room on ground floor. in the vicinity there are many small street restaurant, 300 m to the left when leaving the hotel, is a place with english meny. on the local marked and in the small shops, you can buy what you need for survive. its located right up to the friendship road between Thailand and Vietnam so a lot of traffic noise, day and night, and mostly from the vietnamese truck drivers. there is a saying in Vietnam! if your horn doesn't work any more your vehicle is total damaged. its ok for a sleepover night, I have been here 3 weeks, due to work in the area, and that is a challenge.

Comfortable, clean and unusually well furnished for the region. Occasionally the kitchen is shut (so no food), but otherwise the nicest place to stay along Route 9. It has free wifi, but only in certain places!

Run by a lovely family. They don't speak much English but will go out of their way to help you. Rooms are clean and comfy with good, hot running water. Parking is secure in the compound. Food is tasty and plentiful - best option in town without a doubt!

This is the only reasonable guesthouse in town. Rooms are nice, air conditioned and clean. The family who clean the rooms and cook speak a smattering of English and should be able to sort out most of your problems. Food is OK, certainly the best in Sepon. Be aware that at certain times of year US military personnel searching for MIA troops from the Vietnam conflict will arrive and take over the whole place.
