Personnel at front desk were very kind and eager to service. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet.
Since I was on a business trip, getting a good rest was important and I was able to get that.

Tv's are not smart tv's, and staff clean pools late, making you lose hours of fun. Air conditioning consoles are not cleaned. The rest is fine, location is great, beach was not available due to algae.
Loved Puerto Rico. With that said, the restaurant in the Wyndham hotel (Oregano's) was the worst dining experience of my life - really! We tried it twice. The wait staff will not acknowledge you or make any eye contact. It was fascinating to experience - as in I would think one would have to work harder to completely ignore patrons in a not busy restaurant. I assume they don't want you to ask for anything. It took over an hour both times to get our food. During that wait time, we got one glass of water. When the food arrived, it was not edible. Day 1 - how can pancakes not taste good? The eggs were green (I'm not kidding.) Day 2 - burnt salmon with no seasonings and potatoes with no seasonings. I have never taken the time to write a bad review in my life. This dining experience was so bad, I feel like I need to warn people.
This was a great leisure stay. Walking the grounds was nice and relaxing, the staff was very friendly and pleasant everywhere and the restaurant had awesome food. Beware, though, the building is dated and lacks elevators, so we had to carry our bags up three floors. There is visible reconditioning work taking place around some parts of the hotel. Everyone we met was very pleasant and helpful.
We enjoy Puerto Rico and this was a good place to stay on our vacation.
The staff, location, restaurant, food offerings were very good. The real negative of the Wyndham was the presence of black birds that pestered us at the restaurant patio and pool areas when we were there. When a party left their table at the restaurant patio, a flock of birds descended on the table to steal any scraps of food and even sugar packets. The birds are filthy and poop all over the chairs and tables at the restaurant patio and on the pool lounge chairs and tables. We did not see any "DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS!" signs anywhere on the property. The staff does sanitize the restaurant patio tables after each seating, yet the birds return to do their birdy business.
If it were not for the uncontrolled birds and having to search for a table, chair or lounge chair without bird poop on it, this stay would have been great. Even the staff lamented about the birds, but management must deal with that.
Also, there is not daily housekeeping service. If you want clean towels, you have to go to the front desk to get them. If you want housekeeping service, you have to schedule it with the front desk.
The staff was great. People must be told not to feed the blackbirds. Maybe they will go away, if not, other measures should be used to deal with them.

Dirty halls and floors, broken fixtures and rude staff! Have to ask for towels, no control for thermostat which is set at 68! Just dirty overall pool area has bird crap all over the chairs and they give you a bath towel to lay out. The beach is good for walking not to lay or hang out. Overall very disappointed! Shattered my trust in the Wyndham name and properties
