Food and service excellent, waiter and waitresses there for you but at a distance and not on top of you all the time.

Had a meal for a party of 10. Food was good - well cooked and quite imaginative, and overall it was very enjoyable.

On the negative side though the service could be better - the starter order was not correctly taken, so we had to wait while the correct order was provided. Also, for all courses the waiting staff didn't know who had ordered which dish and therefore walked around the table shouting out what they had. Don't expect this in an otherwise smart restaurant, and it suggests inadequate training for staff - it's not difficult to make a note of who has ordered which dish when taking the order.

But overall it was a very good meal

Lovely afternoon tea with some beautifully prepared sandwiches and cakes. We ended up being the last there on a quiet Sunday afternoon so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. However the setting and grounds were beautiful and we took a cheeky look around whilst there. There was too much for us to eat so we were able to take the leftovers home. A bit pricey but it was a double birthday treat.

Champagne afternoon tea was OK but could be improved by a choice of sandwich fillings. Also felt disappointed when during our conversation the waiter interrupted us to hand us the bill when others had been seated for longer than we had and were not treated in the same way.

Visiting with a friend for a birthday treat . Yes lovely setting , Yes great choice of teas and Yes we enjoyed the food, amuse-bouche was a nice touch . However the bill appeared far far far too quickly and one of the waiters interrupted me mid-conversation and asked me if I was paying by cash or card in a very rude manner Spoilt the treat - absolutely no need , they clearly did not want the table as we had an empty table next to us
