We came to Barcelona for 4 day's and 3 nights from London. We found Hotel Barcelona Gate at a great rate on a comparison site. The staff at reception were great, spoke English and were really helpful with any questions. The hotel itself is two floors and looks tiny from the outside but it's beautiful on the inside very spacious, smells amazing. Our room was a huge twin room everything was clean inside the room.
The hotel is 20min from the airport, 30min drive from Barcelona city centre and 15min by train to the city.
Unfortunately I took no photos but my friends and I were very pleased with this hotel. Definitely using them again.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as my parents were staying at the same hotel during their holiday in barcelona. I booked a separate room and had a huge and spacious double bed room for myself. My room was located on the west wing, and even though my room was big with two big windows I felt the light wasn't streaming in during the day. The bed was gigantic but not very comfy as my back hurt a bit the morning after as the bed was too soft.

Some of the basic stuff missing such as slippers and toothbrush, although toothbrush is available upon request, free of charge.

The hotel was relatively cheap due to its location. I paid 44-55USD per night depending on if it was weekday or weekend. However, it was only 3 stops from Barcelona and a 5-10mins walk to the train station. The only bad thing is the trains on sunday dont run frequently and we waited for 25 mins for a train.

The hotel was overall clean. If you are looking for a cheap alternative with a lot of space in barcelona and dont mind the commute, this could be an option.

My mother and I were in Barcelona for just a few days and were looking for an inexpensive hotel. The hotel is fairly close to the airport. We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport, which, in hindsight, we could have taken the train but we were exhausted from traveling all day. The taxi ride was about 25 euros but there was also traffic when we were coming into Sant Joan Despi.

The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood. It was very quiet when we were there and there is a supermarket near by if needed. The only downfall to this hotel is that there is about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and then from the train station you go to Barcelona Sants to get on the metro. But that is not the hotel's fault at all and for the prices, the walk isn't terrible. Plus the neighborhood is quiet and safe so walking at night was no problem.

Our room was clean and neat in every manner possible. The internet connection was fair and we connected without difficulty. One downfall was that our air conditioning didn't work. We would get hot and turning the air on made it hotter. However, we were on the first floor and opened our windows. We didn't get breakfast at the hotel though it smelled good every morning. There is a vending machine on the first floor though.

We were greeted by a friendly attendant who was eager to help us with navigating the Barca train and metro. I speak Spanish so communication wasn't a problem with us however I did hear her assisting other people in English.

Overall, I would stay here again. The prices were fair and the rooms were clean. The weirdest part of the room was you had to keep your room card in a slot in order to keep the lights turned on, which is something I have never experienced before.
