First and foremost, this is a positive review and in no way should put you off going as with a few upgrades and choice I’d bring my family back here tomorrow. Please take this as a constructive criticism. We have just arrived home after a four night stay (22nd to 26th Dec 2022) the hotel is a little dated, could do with a complete refurb (imho) as the rooms are very basic but with everything you need (apart from a bath) Lapland is very tiring with all the snow gear on and after a long day my go to is a long hot bath. The stairs to the mezzanine are very steep, not slightly, and if you have children of a certain age who like to still get in with Mum and Dad, these are an accident waiting to happen. Or even if Mum and Dad sleep here instead, if your like me who has a weak bladder, they are a mission to navigate and not wake the kids. Our room was south facing and to have any chance of seeing Northern lights without going out then ask for a North facing room. The food in the hotel was ok. Breakfast (imo) was more catered for continental, there was bacon, mini hot dog sausages and creamy scrambled eggs, me personally, just having that option of requesting any type of egg would be ideal. I’m sure this could be included, especially...First and foremost, this is a positive review and in no way should put you off going as with a few upgrades and choice I’d bring my family back here tomorrow. I’m sure this could be included, especially the prices you pay for Xmas. A couple of fried eggs or poached would t have gone amiss. Like others have said too, the food could be hotter. I also have to point out that parents who let their kids go and help theirselves (I’m all for it) just stay away from the Nutella, the amount of little sneaky fingers having a swoop of the bowl I couldn’t ignore. (Bless ‘em) we’ve all done it lol. The food is ok, I ate well, I just expected more from a holiday that cost a lot of money. Hotel prices I thought were very expensive, 5 euros for a qtr of a cup of hot chocolate with squirts cream and 2 marshmallows. All drinks, snacks and souvenir’s are expensive. Finally, I need to repeat. It’s a great hotel, it could be much better with a few quid spent on it as us customers pay a lot, and I mean a lot to stay here. Please reinvest in the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will return…..look out for an update should the changes happen. Good luck Snow Princess and thanksMore
